I just don’t get it. Even guys whose taste in women I normally respect seem to find Paris Hilton hot beyond words. Personally, I think she’s funny-looking, and no, it ain’t sour grapes.
What makes her any more attractive than the many other millions of young women in decent physical shape, or even the countless other quasi-celebrities out there who might have more synapses to rub together than she appears to have? Is it just the idea that she’s willing to do just about anything?
Media exposure creates a pavlovian response. If a person is relentlessly portrayed as being attractive, many of the proles will be attracted to that person.
(Personal observation – skinny and stupid is a fatal combination to my eye.)
I don’t find her terribly attractive. Ms. Hilton’s schtick is that she’s ubiquitous – she’s everywhere. Money buys you exposure. And being a relatively attractive young Rich Bitch who will do outrageous things is just entertainment gold, and will get you endlessly discussed.
That’s what got me - the main guy I am thinking of who admitted to being attracted to her is a college friend, who is a very intelligent guy for whom stupid (if not skinny) is normally a fatal flaw. She looks nothing like any of the other women he’s ever been attracted to, at least from the neck up. So what gives?
I find her attractive on a physical level only. She’s got a cute face and a great body and I see both quite a bit so it’s in my face so I know that I find her attractive. There are millions upon millions of girls that are more attractive but I don’t see them or am asked if I find them attractive.
I also know for sure she gives a great blowjob and is horny in the sack as i’ve seen her do both.
If you could remove peoples memory of Ms. Hilton and then showed those pics to men I would guess that the very attractive box would be ticked 95+% of the time.
People don’t find the complete package attractive. It is also quite in vogue to dislike the girl(for good reasons I might add) but she is hot.
That’s probably mostly it. She’s really nothing special appearancewise, but she’s on TV, young, blonde, rich, in decent shape, apparently promiscuous and comes off as stupid. That’s enough for a lot of people.
I really don’t get it either. I try to avoid “news” about her whenever possible, in part because of my contempt for her and in part because I just can’t stand looking at her face. She looks like the most entitled human being on earth.
Well, the fact that she’s tall, blond, skinny, has a pretty face, and is generally put toegether makes her attractive.
Her look is a little too “plastic” for my tastes, and thus she is not in my prolific collection of internet porn, but you can’t argue that she’s better than average looking. Sure she sounds a little dumb when she talks and I think she definitely plays up the “dumb blonde heiress” schtick because that’s her image, but who cares? I’m not asking her to do my taxes. In fact, I’m not convinced she isn’t a marketing genius.
Quite frankly, I don’t understand the hate. I guess it’s just a natural distaste for people who acquire great wealth or fame through nothing more than being born in the right place at the right time.
It’s combination of her being ultra-“high class” and ultra-skanky. Sometimes nice clothes and super-skankity collide in a whirlwind of hotness. If she weren’t constantly “accidentally” exposing herself, she would not be so hot.
I would think that the stupid wouldn’t play into it for most people. We’re thinking about a night or so of raunchy sex with America’s biggest mega-slut, not developing a successful committed relationship with her.
I think I have excellent taste in women and my standards have always been both high and traditional - I like tall women with nice racks and long hair - and I agree. She’s reasonably pretty and has a nice body, but isn’t spectacularly attractive. If I saw her walking around the campus of a university I’d think her pretty, but no more so than hundreds of other girls I went to school with.
As compared to women famous for genuinely spectaular beauty - Laetitia Casta, Rachel Weisz, and other actresses and models - she isn’t at that level.
I don’t know ANY guys, actually, to have ever commented on Hilton’s hotness. Her image as Ms. Hot is as much a media/image thing as anything else - one that, to her credit, she has meticulously constructed.
Me neither. What’s more, I hope that she is. It would be so cool if she were that sharp, clever enough to put one over on all of us. Imagine the kind of brain required to come up with that at - what, age 18? - and then go through with it, living the character all the time.
It would also make her a damn interesting person. Then, I would find her attractive.
