I believe many Black families name children with a name they like the sound of, rather than European names.
Well, there is an old movie named Quantez. And according to this baby names site, Quantez is a variation of the boy’s name Quant, meaning quantity. It’s not like nobody else has ever given their son that name.
A baby names website doesn’t always make things less stupid. (Just sayin’)
As for the story… it’s sickening that human beings can be like that. So cruel and violent. I completely can’t relate to any of it 
How can you give kids names like that an not expect something to go hideously wrong with them?
