Woohoo, got it!
Now working on MadtheSwine’s/fachverwirrt’s quirk. My best guess so far is that it’s Scrabble-related, perhaps equal to score on a double-word space or something. “Sorry” would earn 16 points, and “Cazique” would earn --crap, 54 points I think (10 each for z and q, 3 for C, 1 each for a,i,u,e, for 27, times 2). Jim Bean and Jack Daniels would earn something similar to the 25-20 split given, I think.

“Cazique” would, indeed be 54 (no double word score necessary; it’s a bingo (all seven letters). “Caziques” is 56 (add the “s” for two more points).
I’ll admit that I’m not terribly diligent about adding up everything in every post. I’m also trying to think of ways to be less obvious than simply pointing out a score for every post, but I think that ship may have sailed.

It took me awhile, but after Googling “Great Lie,” crossreferencing with IMDBing “Dead Ringer,” I’d be willing to Bette a great deal on what it is.
Edited to add: VERY well done, by the way–they read very naturally!
Aww, you guys are just too smart!
twicks, those are some danged good quirks you came up with ---- I am frankly amazed at the erudition evidenced above.
LHoD, I forget, did you do the “nuke 'em from space” thing?

I thought of a subtle clue. I changed my location to Campaign Headquarters. Can anyone think of something better for a location as clue?
I swore that I was going too far when I thought up “jogging buddies.” (Running mates - get it?

Just wanted to say you guys are doing an amazing job. Kudos to twickster for coming up with some fiendish quirks – challenging to depict and to guess! Special applause for brujaja, LHoD and Inner Stickler. I would never have guessed yours.
Especially LHoD: I can’t wait until either the game ends or someone guesses you so that I can find out exactly what each of your references means. Some of 'em are too clever for me, even knowing most of the Dope shticks! (Of the refs I got, the “post office,” “French police” and “Guido” tales are my favorites: hilariously inventive.)
Drain Bead: I don’t think it was too obvious. To the contrary, it threw me off, because I’d guessed the quirk until seeing that “very” – suddenly I assumed I’d chosen wrong. I assumed your quirk was that you were unable to, er, do the thing that you did in that line. I guess it’s just that you don’t like to?
OtakiLoki: You’re another one who threw me off a lot. I figured you were someone obsessed by gadgets/mechanical things. Then you keep saying “mementos,” and I thought of the film, so maybe you were someone with a five-second memory who had to obsessively keep track of everything (e.g. by taking a picture).
Dolores Reborn: I thought your quirk was that you were Shayna! Humble suggestion: I wonder if towards the end, assuming no one’s guessed correctly, you might start acting impatient … making vague references to Obama not making up his mind or putting off decisions too long. For a location, what about “Waiting by the phone”? P.S. “Jogging Buddies” was awesome.
Finally, DaphneBlack is freakin’ amazing at this game.
Congrats again so far, guys! Very enjoyable to watch as an audience member. I’ll look for the next one and maybe get up the courage to participate.
Not too obvious–my worry was that it’d throw people off, since it’s not following the quirk.
Thanks, choie, for the kind words–I’m glad you’re enjoying them! Guido is probably my favorite one so far. If you let me know which ones are stumping you, I’m happy to give further hints in here.
Choie – of course you’re welcome to post in this thread! And you’d be more than welcome to join in the next time we play, whenever that is – coming up with enough quirks is kind of a challenge. I’m not going to do it again anytime soon, but whoever wants to can put together a game.
My only nit to pick with you is when you suggest ways to start giving things away – remember, this is a competition, and the guests are trying not to get guessed in order to win. The other time I modded one of these was the only time all the guests got guessed, which made me feel indadquate as game mod.
The guido story was awesome! My favorite of mine so far was slipping Now, Voyager into a post and even including the correct punctuation from the movie title.
Hm. Army green is a shade of green – but “army” isn’t. Similarly, you’d say “baby blue” is a shade of blue, but not “baby.” I think you’re skating close to the edge here – given how many options you’ve got – but I’ll go withdraw the “bzzt.”

Well, I thought it would be okay, since you said in your email that I could say something like “I thinking about joining the navy.”
But people do say just “navy” for the shade of blue. Shrug I don’t feel strongly enough about this to get into an argument – as I said, I’m officially withdrawing my objection
