One of the best ways to convince someone that you are legit is to warn them of other scammers. Obviously a scam artist wouldn’t warn you about scams, right?
Though, honestly, I think Robertson believes what he preaches, which makes him not a scammer. It’s like how most prosperity preachers really did go out on a limb for God and wind up with more money. And most rich people really did work hard and wound up getting money. Correlation implies causation to nearly everyone.
