Joey Ramone.
Its that quietness and weirdness combined.
I’ve liked him for 20 years now.
This judgement is difficult for me to make. I have occasionally grown to be ardently attracted to women who at first sight didn’t turn me on at all, but after that happens they’re not unattractive anymore, quite the opposite.
Probably subconsciously I was attracted all along.
My vote goes to Natalie Merchant. Not conventionally beautiful, and she tends toward heaviness sometimes, but man, I dig her. Something about her voice does it for me, I guess…
I think this phenomenon is a lot more common for women,
who stereotypically go for the silver-backed ape, than
for men, who go for good birthing hips.
Anyway, I think Cammie Granato (captain of the US Women’s
Hockey team) is hot. Most of my friends do not.
But to men, she looks attractive, and I have no idea if
she is objectively pretty.
As I remember there was something about her mouth that appealed to me. Maybe it was her lip gloss or something. Haven’t seen her in years.
Speaking of CNN I used to have a thing for Christiane Amanpour but that’s kind of gone now. Maybe I just liked her name.
Tim Burton. Tim Curry. Elvis Costello. The kid who played Sherlock in ‘Young Sherlock Holmes.’ Gary Oldman. John Cleese. Eric Idle. Oliver Platt.
Not ugly, by any stretch…but you won’t see them in People’s 25 Sexiest.
Ritchie Blackmore. I think it’s the way he plays guitar- his guitar solos sort of twine themselves into your nervous system, then run their fingers up the inside of your leg…
Also, there’s this boxman at Bally’s, I used to work with him at the Fremont, was totally in love with him. He’s overweight, has a receding chin, disproprtionately small ears, his hair sticks up in weird ways. He’s also highly intelligent, has a truly warped sense of humor, is sweet, kind, gentle, patient… married had to keep my little craps dealer paws to myself. I dropped in to say hi to him after I got off work this morning. He’s still hot…
Kathy Najimy, especially when she does her “Peggy Hill” voice. That’s a butt you can sink your teeth into.
Norm McDonald - in a strange, quirky, boyish way.
Queen Borg

For me it’s her voice. And her eyebrows. Very expressive. Oh, and we have the same birthday.
Am I scaring anyone yet? yeek
Ooooh - Lyle Lovett. And Henry Rollins. And Dennis Miller, even though he has freakishly small and dainty hands.
I’m as straight as they get, but I have to jump on the bandwagon and question the sanity of anybody who thinks Patrick Stewart is unattractive. I pray that when I’m his age I’ll have HALF the class and appeal that he has.
Hell, I wish I was as appealing as he is NOW, and I’m still young!
Helen Mirren, from those PBS British mystery shows. She did a movie in which she’s a gangster’s wife, with a lover who’s a chef. It ends with someone being cooked and eaten, but there are some very erotic scenes before that. She’s by no means young, nor classically beautiful, but she knows how to strut her stuff.
**Thus spake Zarathustra: *
**Queen Borg **
I guess you’re not going to fight it if she tries to assimilate you…
[sub]* OK, I know how obvious this was. I promise not to do it again. ;)[/sub]
Diamud and Sigmundex – Ahh, yes. The very fetching Loonette. I always thought she was quite the cutie as well.
Allyson Hannigan.
Infact, even more than Sarah Michelle Gellar, or Britteny or Christina…
mmmmm… willow…

**I find most lesbians attractive. You know, the boyish, sometimes downright masculine kind? So I’ve always thought Ellen DeGeneres was really hot.I don’t know of any other male who does at all.

Yoohoo! Over here!
Unattainable rather than unattractive, I guess, but still within shouting distance of the OP. I’ve had some serious crushes on gay women.
All those East German olympic athletes from the 70’s and 80’s, but maybe that was the steroids, not their being gay…
Really tall female basketball players.
I also like really short, petite women 5’ and under.
As for one person…hmmm… I had a nerdy friend who became a hot shot women exec, and she was a total nerd. But something about her nerdiness really got me jazzed up. Like, I could see that with a makeover she’d be smokin’. If she ever tried, she be dead sexy.

Ditto. He looked great on Celebrity Millionaire. What is it about the lighting on that show??
Others: David Letterman, Drew Carey, Phillip Seymour Hoffman (ever since “Twister”), and Ben Folds.
