The local Orange County Register, recently ran a story about Paul, the Founder
and Host of TBN,a Christian Television Network, being accused an sued by a co-
worker of a jilted gay relationship. Paul, proclaimed his innocense, however,on a
recommendation from his lawyers, settled the lawsuit out-of-court.
Paul wanted to make it clear that the payout used no perishoner love gifts.
Damage control is in effect and Paul is again ever-present on TBN.
I note that you have no link. Allow me to supply the one from my favorite commie rag.
Although, I do have reservations as to whether this is in the proper forum. I’ll make some inquiries as to that as well.
Oh, sorry, I forgot. Scroll down to the entry for Sunday September 12.
“Love gifts” has to be close to one of the most disgusting eupemisms I’ve ever heard.
No big shock if he’s gay; he married a drag queen after all.
<shiver>
Yeah, he used his “own” money, the money he made…working…(yeah, that’s it, that’s the ticket)…he was…working…at a…job…yeah, a job…where he got paid…
I first read it as “Love grits”!
Which, of course, at every opportunity, he invites you to kiss.
“Kiss my love grits?”
Umm… no.
Isn’t this old news-I thought he was sighted coming out of a gay bar after supposedly being “cured” of his “sinful ways”?
Or am I thinking of someone else?
You’re thinking of former “ex-gay” poster child John Paulk. He was photographed emerging from a gay bar in Washington DC a few years ago while he was serving as the head of the evil Exodus International (a group whose stated goal is to lead gay people out of their “lifestyles” and two of whose male founders fell in love with each other and called bullshit on the whole deal). Initially he claimed he didn’t know it was a gay bar and only went in to use the restroom. Eventually he admitted he knew all along it was a gay bar and he supposedly was seen socializing for over half an hour. He was fired from Exodus shortly thereafter.
There’s the Christian compassion and love that the ex-gay groups tout so much for you…
Nope. He never left the organization. He was put on probation for six months, then reinstated as board chairman.
And he kept his position with Focus on the Family through the whole thing, too.
And the disgust mounts on both sides.
Then I recant my post above. They do have some compassion for “their own”.
Or they want to really make his punishment last.
After thinking about it a while, the other possibility is that they have so few people who’ve gone through their program who are willing to put their shakey “conversion” to public scrutiny that they HAVE to retain Paulk, just to keep their public apologist count looking halfway healthy.
