A burger chain in Seattle is paying at least $19 per hour with full benefits and their burgers start at $1.90
The regular burger is actually $2.20 now, and keep in mind it’s a very basic burger comparable to a regular hamburger at McDonald’s, they don’t do special orders, and they charge extra for onions and condiment packets. Dick’s is basically what McDonald’s would be if its menu hadn’t changed since 1970 or so, which I think might actually be the last time Dick’s added anything to their menu.
That being said, Dick’s is legendary in Seattle and it’s a great stop for cheap late-night eats on your way back from a concert or a show - you can get a couple of burgers, some fries, and a shake for about $10 (which is otherwise unheard of in Seattle these days) and you’ll probably be in and out faster than you would at a drive-thru that pays minimum wage.
