Is there any burger joint like Tommy’s between Seattle and the Canadian border?
'Cause I could really go for a chili burger like they make back in L.A.

I don’t think they do chili burgers, but every time I’m back home (like this weekend) I stop in at Dicks.
As far as I know, the only way you’re getting a Tommy’s-style burger up here is if you go to Fatburger and custom-order one that way.
No, they don’t appear to have chiliburgers. But I’ve heard good things about Dick’s. (Hm. That doesn’t sound right if you say it out loud.) I’d like to try them, and there’s one in Edmonds on the way home.
Fatburgers are pretty scarce up here, but I see there’s one in Lynnwood that doesn’t look too far off of the freeway.
Red Mill Burgers are the best in Seattle. IMO. No chili burgers though.
If you like divey bar food, stop in at the Alger Tavern, Old 99, right off the freeway. I think it’s exit 240?
Great burgers and fried food.
I wouldn’t go to Dick’s expecting much - the burgers are about McDonald’s-sized and light on toppings (there are exactly four types of burger - ketchup and mustard, ketchup and mustard with cheese, mayo with lettuce and pickle, and double patty with mayo, lettuce, pickle and cheese, and they don’t do special orders), they’re not made to order, and they charge for ketchup packets and other condiments.
What it is is cheap, fast, edible as long as it’s piping hot, and open late.
(The fries are pretty damn good, though.)
No chilli-burgers, but if you like In-n-Out, go to Dicks and realize that Dick’s is what you actually want an In-N-Out burger to taste like.
