PBS' Bookworm Bunch - Do your kids watch this?

I would be interested in your thoughts overall - Jake loves George Shrinks, but we don’t like Seven Little Monsters.

But most importantly for the purposes of this thread - who sings those interlude songs - “La Bamba” “Ain’t Great to Be Crazy?” and are they a man or a woman? I find the voice so irritating!! It can be hard anyway hanging out with the kids and sharing TV together on Saturday/Sunday mornings before Mom gets up, but that voice drives me nuts!

Just my $.02

Oh and how about those Playskool spots that run TWICE between every show?? “She’s like no other person on the planet. I wish I knew everything in the world so I could teach it to her. But then it occurs to me: she’s the one learning 8 bazillion things a day … blah blah blah … Here I come world!” The baby is cute enough but if I have to hear that golly-gee voice going on and on in a perfectly ordinary observation about babies I’m going to scream. We find we enjoy it much more muted.

My children, ages 5 and 7, like all the programs that we’ve seen. We don’t watch ALL of them every week. I find the Seven Little Monsters vaguely icky, but the kids like them. I love how unrealistically cooperative Junior is on George Shrinks. Dream toddler! LOL I think the show about the little animals who go to school is absolutely adorable. I’ve only seen the tap-dancing horse a time or two, but it seems cute.

As to the singer, I can’t decide if I like him/her or can’t stand him. I looked all around the Bookworms Bunch site at PBS and couldn’t find out who it is.
