PC Question-Unknown Hardware

Ok I reformatted and reinstalled Windows. All my hardware seems to be working but Windows has found an unknown device.

It’s showing under Other Devices as a Multimedia Audio Controller.

It shows Code 1-not configured correctly not using any driver. The Device Instance ID is

PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00EA&SUBSYS_AA2E1019&REV_A1\3&13C0B0C5&0&30

Any ideas what it is?

If you can hear sounds normally, I wouldn’t worry about it. Is it an HP, by any chance?

Vendor ID 10DE is NVIDIA.
Device 00EA is listed as an “Audio Codec Interface”.

Nope it’s a custom built system using a Nvidia Nforce 3 mainboard and a GE4000 video card. I can’t get my Pinnacle TV Tuner (USB) to work on the system but the USB adapter is working on another PC so I know that’s not the issue

Hmm that may be the onboard audio which I’m not using right now. That helps me narrow it down

You should have a driver CD that came with the motherboard. Try that.

If youre not using it, its best to disable it from the BIOS.
