Peacemaker series

I think we might get that cleared up if Peacemaker brings Adebayo into the other dimension.

I liked episode 5 much more than the relative snoozefest of episode 4. I still find the lightest timeline elements to be more interesting, though.

So, I wonder if Gunn hoped people wouldn’t notice the clues in the earier episodes or if be expected it to only be a surprise to the characters. Because as it turns out that was one of the least shocking reveals ever

To be fair. I hadn’t picked up on it on first watch, but only after it was pointed out here. Then it was “shit, how did I not even see that?”

And you?

So maybe if I never read it anywhere I would have stayed clueless, and maybe it would have been a bigger reveal?

Anyway. Experiencing it as something that Emilia notices right off in comparison to Chris’s never perceiving it, while we already know it, still works for me.

Even when you expect it, seeing Nazi America in action is beyond horrifying. At least the trailers make it clear they save Ads.

Something that occurred to me about “one got out” is the possibility of all the POCs being sent to an alternate dimension, by Blue Dragon and Sons through their dimensional portal. Which would explain why they are such over-the-top worshipped heros: they did a lot more for shaping their new world than just fighting crime.

(Another option, they have an Ubermensch Superman and he sent them to The Phantom Zone.)

I think it’s much more likely to be the much more mundane, but horrifying, concentration/labor/refugee camps.

I don’t think there has been any indication that the alternative dimension has access to that portal, know about it, and it’s open normally. Now, how that works, well, I don’t know, but it might be open when the other portal is open, though alt Peacemaker probably did bother to look in his closet.

What? Alt-Peacemaker stores his helments there. Alt-Dragon password protected it.

Ok, I missed this information, I thought the helmets were left over from his dad.

The way Peacemaker noticed that door out of all the others is that it had a rack full of helments beside it just like his door.

And they confirmed that this was alt-universe Peacemaker?

I mean, it is Occam’s razor. You have two scenarios:

1.) In two extremly similar dimensions, each Dragon discovers a portal generator, sets it up in their house, and stores a set of helmets on the other side.

2.) Only one Dragon has a portal generator, he sets up a rack of helmets outside if it, then sets up a second rack of helmets several hundred feet away, somehow finds a second portal generator, opens a portal to the whitest timeline, tracks down his alt-family, and secretly sets up the second portal in their house, which they never find out about.

The show hasn’t explicitly endorsed one scenario over the other, but the second seems so much less likely than the first that it never even crossed my mind. Plus, in the alt-universe the alt-family do discuss encounters with dimensional imps, which is who possess the sophisticated portable portal generators in the first place.

I think this is the best Vigilante episode ever. So over the top! So much coke, and his mom…

I guess he hadn’t seen his father in years? But he didn’t react to him being there (and “not gay”) any more than he did to the slightly different decorations.

Considering the nature of the United Swastisates of Amurrica, he’s probably just deeply closeted

You have a multi dimensional portal generator across potentially a trillion worlds (in reality from what I’ve read in the DC universe, 100 though), I’d not (and still don’t assume) two exact scenarios unless explicitly stated.

There has been nothing stated about how big that area is? How many doors there are? Whether the doors need to be two way? The assumption that a Peacemaker opens a portal and dumps his helmets 2 feet into a mutli dimensional portal? Where are his dads helmets? His brothers helmets? Do they all have multi dimensional portals of their own?

To me the starting point would be if the alt-universe trio would be out doing dirt-poor redneck hunting and shoot the same alien to get the portal. The alt universe trio are much much richer in their nazi universe and much less likely to have one.

All in all, you’ve made a whole bunch of assumptions and just decided on two, when we’ve got a situation where the father and the brother seem ignorant of this portal, and Peacemaker hasn’t explored that side of things. Also questions such as why the portal has a keylock on the inter dimensional side too, bodes an important question as well.

So you’ve assumed there are only two scenarios. I’ve not, and waiting for confirmation on something which has largely been skated over. I suspect they’ll adapt it however the story goes (nazi earth invades real earth as is their manner, or just forget about it, like they currently have).

Den of Geek called it in detail, though we all sort of did beforehand with the knowledge of what made Peacemakers father happy, but it did cover the comics where this universe came from, who the Sons of Liberty are (The Freedom Fighters from those comics), and the renamed Justice league (New Reichmen) members: Blitzen (Flash), Brünhilde (Wonder Woman), and Leatherwing (Batman). Superman is Overman.

No, I’ve “assumed” the one scenario that is clearly suggested in the storytelling and you are really, really, really, really, really reaching to try to twist it into saying sonething different.

Giving this more effort than I really should, here’s a screenshot from 6:58 into episode 2x01. Peacemaker is standing in the trophy room with the open portal around 6 feet behind him. His alt-father is standing maybe 20 feet away from Peacemaker with a clear view of the open portal. What he says is “Are you okay pal? You been sleepwalking again?” and not “Oh my fucking God, what is that mysterious giant room filled with strange objects that I’ve never seen in my life that is open less than 30 feet from my face?”
