Peeps or Bunnies?

I would never willingly eat Peeps, but my father loves them. I think he likes the artificialness. So, yes, I haunted the Peeps aisle before Christmas, buying all the holiday flavors for him. Chocolate Moose, peppermint peeps…along with more upscale candy like marzipan and Lindt chocolate mint truffles, it all gets vacuumed up in short order. The man is a machine.

Ah, Peeps. In my family, stale, tough, chewy ones are highly desired. Bunny ones stale up better due to their higher surface/volume ratio. Bunnies for the win.

I don’t quite know how to break it to you . . .

Absolutely addicted. I love the marshmellow chicks sitting on chocolate disks. Put one in a cup of hot coffee and watch it melt.

One year, the wife and I happened to be in the US at Easter time. We loaded up on Easter candy to bring back to her family in order to show them what that was alike. It was a pretty representative assortment, and it all went over well … except for the peeps, which no one would touch, reason being they “looked evil.”

::THUD::

Bunnies. Peeps always gave me the creeps.

They also now have the milk chocolate and dark chocolate covered Peeps. I actually like them much better than regular ones. What’s the consensus around here on them?

Chocolate covered Peeps? I’ve never seen this. There again, probably 'cause I wasn’t looking. I assume they are now available, bacon wrapped?

Cadbury Cream Eggs all the way.

I hate peeps and here’s why. Peeps are evil.

What they said. I still need some sugar even though I’m a diabetic* but these sugar coated marshmallow things are a bit much.

*my meds were increased to keep my A1C low but they keep my glucose low as well. The sugar is to keep my glucose within an acceptable range.

This is for you, Guinastasia.

With Easter well and truly over for the year, I declare Peeps the winner, with 42 votes to 19 votes for the bunnies.

More bunnies for meeee!!!

Hey! Easter isn’t over for 46 more days! Plenty more candy to eat. Lake Champlain dark chocolate bunnies are on sale at the chi-chi grocery store here, but no more Peeps. :frowning:
