People who deceive?

“Deceit is the game of petty spirits, and that is by nature a woman’s quality.”
Pierre Corneille

Events in my life have resulted in wondering is this just a woman’s quality?

What with the news of the world etc…that was both men and w:confused:omen?

I do find that there is a certain type of person that can be deceitful.

An example: Girlfriend keeps things from her estranged partner to cause maximum negative impact on the now ex partner who has moved on of course this would be denied by the now ex girlfriend but there are too many who know the real facts, so why still lie knowing it’s pointless?

What are your thoughts?

Plus impenetrability.

Uh, what are *your *thoughts? Not to be obtuse, but whatchou talkin’ 'bout?

Someone who thinks that only women deceive is a con man’s dream.

And if the point is supposed to be that women are petty; well, both men and women are petty. Just in different ways sometimes.

My thoughts are that this OP sounds kinda like it would be happier in MPSIMS or IMHO. If you have a rant to give us that you’d like some feedback on, go ahead and give specifics. Give us something to get worked up on your behalf about. Fair warning though: 'round these parts, a generalization that Pits a sex, either sex is often a fast track to getting people worked up about the person who posts it.

Also: a capacity for deceit is a quality that can’t be usefully ascribed to one sex over another.

Also also, welcome to the SDMB.

Thanks for saving me the trouble. I do feel like I’m being invited to form conclusions based on very few actual facts.

This fellow obviously has never dated guys.

Or tried to buy a car from one.

Or watched any girl try to get a simple oil change at a car shop or dealership.

Or watched three co-eds in half shirts water the front lawn.

Or … am I not playing the game right?

I’m gonna guess she filled your charges up with water, then sent for Captain Farrell to be ready for the slaughter?

Your best bet is to contact a family member in the military.

Well done.

Seconded.

And I missed this one. +1 for subtlety.

The bottom of the page ad I’m seeing says: “Want Ex Girlfriend Back?
Stop, Don’t Push Her Further Away Learn The Tricks To Get Her Back.”

Ya gotta be deceitful.

You give Browncoats a bad name.

Ralph Wiggum: You’re deceitful!

Thanks, Ralph.

Yeah, you are playing wrong. But keep going, you have my attention.
