People who hate children

I take care of my kid–that is not your quibble with me. I take care of my kid by taking him out and teaching about fine dining restaurants. That is wrong too, apparently. So, in your book, those of us with kids should pay taxes, keep the kids at home lest we upset your delicate sensibilities?

curlcoat’s still going, huh? Can’t fault her tenacity, that’s for sure.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program: “Baiting the Troll.”

Hey I’m still here too, waiting for the opportune moment to jump back into the fray. Mwahahaha.

Then why did curlcoat bother to work after she’d nabbed a hubby? And why is he expecting all us taxpayers to shoulder his (considerable) burden?

Not some slugs: society!!

Carol Stream and curlcoat, when will you address this:

It’s not that some people believe in this. The vast majority of society thinks that children are worth being supported.

Of course she’s still going. Trolls don’t ever give up or go away, they just keep replying in hopes of people replying back.

Just as long as the attention is on them at all times. She’ll have the last word in here if people let her. Unless the thread is closed before she can reply again, that is. But rest assured, she will always reply back, even in the face of “You’re wrong, and here’s a cite to prove it”.

Really? Then why is she trying to scam the system? Her husband should just take care of her and leave the welfare benefits to those who have no one to help them. Take care of your own! No welfare! REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

Governments take care of their citizens. Families take care of their children most of the time, but when they can’t the citizens step in. That’s the way it works. So what’s your bitch? You whine about the good old days when everyone had a sense of independence, but it’s ok to take advantage of a family member?

We as a nation decide on these things collectively. We are a collective and we embrace many socialist ideologies. Your new president understands this. Congress understands this. The vast majority of working citizens understand this. We nurture and guide and invest in the future. Occasionally, some dead wood will slow things down (cough) Curlcoat (cough), but we’re set up to help those who can’t or won’t help themselves.

Yeah, but you had the gall to take him to a public park. SPONGE!

If she’d only use that energy to fuel her job search.

What a fucken load of bullshit.

When was this mythical ‘used to be’ of which you speak? Used to be that small communities provided personal assistance to parents of young families…with the growth of society, that support has to a greater or lesser extent (depending upon where you live) been also provided by the state.

Do you really think that the ‘society’ would provide care and support for families with young children if it didn’t have a vested interest in doing so? Do you really think that society ‘cares’ about my individual children and their welfare? Do you really think that society cares so little about YOU that they are screwing you to the wall in favour of watching all these little sprogs come to fruition?

Darls, it all about community, of which you have little concept apparently. We’re all part of one big organism that needs all the other parts to survive and grow. As much as it pains you to accept it, kids are part of that vital and growing organism.

Go get a life…preferably on Mars or somewhere else. You really give me the shits.

curlcoat doesn’t seem to understand that within the context of this discussion (the philosophy of when it is acceptable to ask the government to support you), having applied for SSDI is essentially the same thing as receiving SSDI. The point is, curlcoat applied for it, so she clearly thinks she’s entitled to it. (And I wouldn’t necessarily disagree with that, she may well be entitled to it, but her claim that she isn’t a hypocrite because she hasn’t received it yet is bogus.)

Right the fuck ON. And her distinction between SSDI and any other form of welfare is bogus as well. They’re all funded by tax dollars.

I used to think I hated children but I was wrong. Children are pretty much ok, its parents I hate.

All of them? Why?

there is no more selfish decision in the world than choosing to have children.

I’m sure you just forgot to paste your cite in your post. That’s ok. We’ll wait.

I wasn’t aware you need cites for your opinions. Is this a new policy?

Continuation of the species is selfish? Charles Darwin would like to have a word with you.

oh yeah, that’s totally why most people have children, they’re worried about the fate of the species.

You said it with such a tone of authority that I figured you’d read it somewhere. I was going to call the source and tell them that no one I know was polled!
