People with very apropos last names

Congressman Anthony Weiner, the one who got caught tweeting pictures of his junk.

Went to school with a woman whose maiden name is Large. (Yes I am a pig, why do you ask)

My son’s high school music teacher was Mr. Tootle.

One of my OB/GYN’s colleagues at the women’s clinic was Dr. Suzanne Bush.

On a personal level, the smallest kid in my elementary school throughout the years had a last name of “Inch.” Good times.

I giggle every time I see the name of my daughter’s maths teacher, Mr Tu.

At school myself I had a science teacher who really was Mr Science.

If I had an apropos-ready name I’d probably avoid the associated profession like the plague, but I would totally go into science education if my name was Mr. Science.

Although it sounds like the lady doth protest too much when pronouncing his name (“Wye-ner!” “Fronk-en-steen!”), that pronunciation is “right” based on that spelling

Or Mr. Wizard.

Ludovic, you’re one letter away from becoming an evil psychologist.

My Home room teacher in high school was one of the English Teachers, Mrs Grammer.

(Yes, with an “E”).

A restaurant I know of has a wine steward named Bruce Cork.

Or Nominative Determinism in New Scientist, where I first encountered it and nearly died laughing.

I knew a plumber named John Johns.

I knew a girl who played the French horn, and her last name was Horner.

My optometrist’s name was Dr. Spector.

My elementary school music teacher was Mrs. Musick. Mr. Musick was a band director at a school nearby. Unfortunately, Ms. English taught history.

I once had to deal w/ a student loan collector named Dean Cash.

“What school do you go to”.
“Well, let’s just say it’s run by Dean Cash.”

Better than the school run by Dean Blowjob.

The man who co-wrote the Spiderman theme tune for the old telly cartoon we all remember was a Mr Webster.

I know a choreographer whose surname is Jump.

Has anyone noticed how rampant this phenomenon is in adult movies? I just saw one with a guy named Anthony Hardwood!

Joe

These are pretty good, but I’ll raise you one. Retiring this summer as band director of a local middle school: Mr. Bandman. It’s not punny or otherwise clever… just so perfectly accurate.

This is my favorite so far.
