People you've known whose names are oddly apt

My academic advisor in college was Prof. Wiseman.

I’ve posted this one before. My father-in-law’s urologist, one of the leading urologists in Austin, a guy who performs vasectomies all the time, is named…

Dick Chopp

I have to provide a link or you won’t believe me:

Years back, I knew a guy with an absolutely TERRIBLE name for his profession. He was a Naval fighter pilot named Andrew Coward.

He must have heard every joke imaginable, but it didn’t hurt his career much. Last I heard, he was an instructor at Top Gun.

In my college dorm there was a guy named Putz.

He lived up to it.

I always thought that Learned Hand was a pretty apt name for a Circuit Court Judge.

Of all those listed so far, this one is the most difficult for me to believe.

My sister had a black teacher also named Mr. Blackman.

I once had a dentist named Dr Gassman

In Hong Kong I saw an office for a Gyno named Dr Poon

There was(maybe he is still practicing?) an OB/GYN in my home town named Dr. Babay.

The minister who baptised my son was the Reverend Parsons.

My phys-ed teacher who was highly competitive but also emphasised sportsmanship (Sportswomanship? ) was Ms Goodwin.

I also knew a fencing contractor with the last name Post.

My last dentist was Dr. McClean. And I’ve posted this one before: the handyman for our condo association, who also trimmed dead branches off the green space trees was Les Sapp.

When I was in college in Wisconsin, I had an appointment with a Dr. Docter. He had two daughters who were Olympic speed skaters.

A friend of mine used to see Dr. (Harry) Beaver, OB-GYN.

Cite?

It’s not that I don’t believe you…well, actually it’s exactly like that.
mmm

Quite a few, actually.

A pediatrician named Dr. Childs.

A lawyer named Dennis Law.

Best of all were the judges I worked with: Judges Money, Hammer and Ream.

No word of a lie.

Didn’t know him, but there was a doctor in Edmonton by the name of Sneezewell. If he wasn’t an ear, nose, and throat man he should have been.

A top hurricane researcher is Christopher Landsea.

I’ve met a Sergeant Sergeant. I’d been in the AF about 6 weeks and I gave that name tag a long, slow stares. Was this something I’d slept through in OTS? Were ranks on name tags now? Nope, just the universe playing tricks on me.

I worked with a Chief Major in the Navy. Clearly joined the wrong branch.

I have a cousin, now retired who was in the police force. Senior Sergeant Constable.

Me too although on the Army side.
Last name of Sixx but on a junior enlisted Soldier. His name just begged for a commission and a company command so his callsign would end with six.
I met a Captain Abrams who’s branch was Armor. He did happen to be related to the tanks namesake.
Captain Reimer. His name mostly wasn’t apt… unless you pronounced it like reamer instead of RYE-mer. In that case, you did get reamed.
