I was so inspired by the “peanuts & soda” thread that I finally get to start one that’s been on my mind for a while.
Pepsi & Milk.
Like Laverne (from Laverne & Shirley) drank.
Anyone ever try it? I did, once. I thought I was going to throw up afterwards.
Actually…I drank that a lot back home. First pour the Pepsi(or Coke, I really don’t care) in a glass, then add the milk. Yummy, just like a blackout!!!
Tasted kind of like a milkshake to me. Never had it more than the once though.
I drink Coke and milk sometimes. It’s yummy.
Root Beer, half and half, and a little vanilla extract. Mmmmm…floaty!
We found, while eating in the unversity’s cafes of course, that adding soda to milk instantly curdles it. How could you drink that??
Hmmm…I would think that the acidity of the cola would curdle the milk, akin to mixing OJ and milk.
I’ve never tried Pepsi with milk, but I’ve tried Pepsi with Weet-Bix, because I had no milk… It was a good idea at the time, but I nearly threw up.
Oh, good. I’m not the only one who’s mixed the two. It does curdle the milk, but mmm… frothy…

It’s Dr. Pepper mixed with Half and Half, or, if you’re feeling like you really want a heart attack, HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM.
That mix is so heavenly. Wow. You really must try it.

I often drink cola with milk. Started when I was a kid at a restaurant. They called it a Darth Vader, for tough guys who didn’t want no sissy Shirley Temple.
I drink it with skim milk now and there isn’t really any problem with curdling.
Drank it very briefly when I was a kid, until I realized that I didn’t really enjoy it very much. Of course, due to the fascism of parental purchasing power, we had only Coke in the house, not Pepsi.
I do remember agreeing with Laverne, though. It took the bghghgh out of the [Coke] and the lreehhhh out of the milk. 
After reading this thread, I tried it.

Milk alone is awful.
Pepsi alone is great.
Mixing Pepsi with anything tastes awful.
I beg to differ with that one. Pepsi and Malibu Rum. Like a luau in the mouth…
Forgot to add the milk I drink is skim or nonfat, so curdling rarely happens.

Never tried Pepsi and milk, but once I drank grape juice mixed with milk, and I still shudder to remember how nauseated I felt…
When I was younger I drank it frequently. Sometimes we used Malta and called it “ghetto malted”.
My daughter loves it. If she uses cola instead of Malta she puts sugar in too.

Yes, Biggirl, I know what malta is. In fact, did a whole research on the process of making malta. Too bad here it costs a few cents more than other soft drinks. I also mix it with milk. Yummy!!!
