My choice: Still Crazy After All These Years (Paul Simon)
But I have been told I should use the blues classic: Ain’t Neccessarily So

Forget theme song, I’ve got an entire internal soundtrack. Some selections:
“Super Bon Bon” by Soul Coughing, for when I enter a room
“Plowed” by Sponge, for driving fast, especially at night
“Full of Grace” by Sarah McLachlan, for my maudlin moments
“Superhero” by Ani Difranco, for when I feel like a little self-deprecation
“Are you frightened of snakes?”
“Only when they dress like werewolves.”
-Preacher
Probably Devo’s “Beautiful World”
‘Teenage Lobotomy’ by the Ramones.
The theme song for Indiana Jones. Particulary good to hum when I’m doing something dangerous, like changing a poopy diaper.
Intergalactic Laxative by Donovan.
Eagles may soar free and proud, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.
It’s a toss up between “Yer Blues” by the Beatles or “Muswell Hillbilly Boy” by the Kinks.
Saint Eutychus H.M.S.H.
" ‘He is a prince’ , the minstrels sing.
Among men, yes. Among fools he is a king."
Disney Shorts
The Eutychus Papers
All good ones, but thanks for this one, Lux…now it’s going through my head again!
As for my theme song…hmmm. Can’t pick one, so we’ll do the top 5 of the moment.

Environment? Nah. Mood lighting and ambience is what counts.
Since I failed to state in the OP. Mine generally are:
>>Nomex underwear is optional for dragons. <<
—The dragon observes
“Killing In the Name Of” by Rage Against The Machine. Damn they rock
“Hey Marge did you know they have the Internet on computers now?”
“Mmmm, memo…”
Mine is “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra…I even have a whole dance routine for when I am REALLY stressed. Also, “Flagpole Sitta” by Harvey Danger works well when I am angry. If I am in a good mood, I hear “I Just Wanna Make Love To You” by Etta James or “I’ll Melt With You” by Modern English.
Sometimes, however, only the opening strains of "Let’s Get It On"arvin Gaye will do.
“Sweating Bullets” by Megadeth, lately.
I mis-wasted my youth.
The Star Wars theme
or
The superman theme
or
Hammer to Fall by Queen (opening lines: Here we stand, here we fall)
My personal theme song tends to change with my mood. For the past two months, the songs have mostly been rather depressing or uplifting f**k you sorts of songs:
Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
I’m Still Standing by Elton John
I Try by Macy Gray
Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night by Bon Jovi
Kiss Off by the Violent Femmes (I take one, one, one 'cause you left me and two, two, two for my family, and three, three, three for my heartache, and four, four, four for my headaches and five, five, five for my loneliness, six, six, six for my sorrow, seven, seven, for no tomorrow, and eight, eight, I forget what eight is for, nine, nine, nine for the lost time, and ten, ten, ten, ten, for everything, everthing, everything, everything! God I love that song.)
Add it Up, also by the Violent Femmes (Going to the concert tomorrow!)
Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
Lonely Holiday by the Old 97’s
oh yeah…and that They’re Coming to Take Me Away song…can’t remember the artist, but it fits much of the time.
yeah yeah YEAH!!! “Far out in the uncharted waters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral Arm of the Galaxy…”
Me? Hmmm… Well, sometimes I’m damn sure it’s…
John Philip Sousa’s Liberty Bell.
Other times I’m sure it’s just a laugh track.
All I wanna do is to thank you, even though I don’t know who you are…
Letting my inner child run loose and break things.
“Fool On The Hill” by the Beatles.

“Y’know, I would invite y’all to go feltch a dead goat, but that would be abuse of a perfectly good dead goat and an insult to all those who engage in that practice for fun.” -weirddave, set to maximum flame
Actually, I think that it’s the other way around for me. I hear music and then see my life at that moment through the eyes of an audience watching my life as a movie. I went on a road trip last March and at some point along the way, we had the windows down, the music blaring as we made our way across Montana. It was an awesome moment, and ofr the life of me I can’t remember what the song was that was playing. I saw the camera pull away from the car and watch it drive down the highway, music playing, credits rolling. So cheesy, it’s almost embarassing! ;p
