Personalities of all the Star Trek Captains

My thoughts on the most significant personality traits in terms of command ability (for the ones I’ve seen, anyway - I haven’t seen Discovery and didn’t finish Voyager or Enterprise but have seen all TOS, movies, TNG, DS9, and LD):

Kirk - courageous, innovative, incredible improviser, can never be counted out

Picard - brilliant, supremely well educated, as good as it gets at analytical decision making, expert diplomat

Sisko - no one is tougher, incredible bond with his crew, willing to be as ruthless as necessary, supremely flexible and will make the hardest decisions correctly

Janeway - brilliant and never wrong in a really annoying way

Archer - indecisive, just kind of a shitty captain (though he is brave and selfless with his crew)

Freeman - brave and flexible but very sloppy with a tendency to overmanage, overreact, and overthink

Thoughts? Am I being too tough on Janeway and Archer? What about the Discovery Captain?

As a former Navy officer, I’d most want to serve under Picard.

Of Kirk’s personality, in the light of modern sensibilities, the less said the better.

I didn’t see any of the episodes with Captain Thoughts, so I can’t comment on that. What season featured him (her?) again?
