Pet pictures!

And here we have my late wee house panther, Sally. Had her from a kitten till she went over the bridge at age 17. Slim, agile, affectionate on her own terms.

Another cat from my past! This is Freddy – yes, of the Eddy, Teddy, Freddy trio I adopted as four-month-old kittens many years ago – doing his best regal imitation of the emperor of the world. Quite well done, considering what a doofus he was.

A tale of two cats at the vet’s:

I bring in Peanut.
Staff don armor.

I bring in Bruiser.
Staff vie to cuddle him.

I know I shouldn’t be laughing…but I am.

What lovely cats, thanks for sharing them with us.

And Peanut looks so sweet!

(Which I bet they are, when things are going their way – )

Heh. Yes, Peanut was a real sweetheart at home, unless a stranger showed up on the deck, then he’d freak out. Toward the end of his life when his thyroid went kaput he started having irrational rages at the other cats even though they used to be best buddies.

Ack.

Cats can get dementia too.

Yes, alas. I tend to think it was his health problems, thyroid and intestinal lymphoma, that altered his mental state, though.

Me again! Here with a couple of very large pets. The pinto belonged to someone else, the blaze-faced bay was my Ben, and they were having a jolly old time playing geldings’ favorite game: Halter tug of war.

New pic of Ragtime Charlie, who was announced in this thread.

Found Monkey holding onto his back legs like they might fall off:

Beautiful eyes!

Ours need a new tree, but I know they won’t let me bring a bigger one in.

Black and white cat Does Not Fit! even if it were just that one cat.

He thinks he does and that’s all that matters, LOL!

My two cats will sometimes share the top nest, with some joy when it’s cold, but there’s always a battle for who’s on top/in charge after enough time. And it’s always cute!

I certainly wouldn’t argue with him.

Mario hammin’ it up for my daughter

A picture of Moody because I was reminded of one of her quirks today.

Moody loved roses. Not to look at, to eat. If I brought in roses and she got to them, she would chow down on the petals. I once brought back a double handful of petals from a rose nursery, set them down first before the usual arrival activities and within a few minutes she had eaten all of them

In another thread I mentioned that I have freed up some space in the house and I’m finally making myself a proper workshop. Well, we’ve always said we think Oskar is part goat, and he’s not letting us down. He loves the workbench I just built:

He gets a haircut tomorrow.

Let’s see, part dog, part mountain goat, part pony, part tumbleweed, all very lovable and huggable.
