Gorgeous black kitty. Black cats are the supreme solar powered beings.
Oh man, that couldn’t have turned out better if you planned it!
Agreed, that’s a hell of a shot – well done you!! Beautiful gatos, too.
Love it!
Thanks all. It wasn’t any talent on my part, just wiggily boys who can’t sit still.
Edited to add that I honest to goodness didn’t even notice / think about my Picassoesque pillow in the background. Now that’s fun!
Sounds like the woman who runs the dachshund rescue where we got three of our dachshunds. She had to have an intervention. Sadly, I understand the addiction.
Thanks to everyone for all the doxie pics! Ollie is just getting cuter and cuter. That spotted one has a coat variety called piebald.
I needed those photos in my life. Talk about adorable
You’d like living on Hawai’i Island! We have gold dust day geckos everywhere - any time I’m eating breakfast, I usually see at least a couple scurrying across the wall.
We also have Jackson’s chameleons, though those are a much rarer sighting - I’ve only seen two on our property in the last 5 years or so. I think they are slightly more common on the other side of the island.
So beautiful. I lived in a very gecko heavy place (I loved 'em) and that was cool but we didn’t have anything nearly as pretty as those. Chameleons just make me smile.
Perhaps I would! Most of my pet lizards have been Aussie’s of course, lots of beardies, monitors, and of course, my personal favorite, the frilled lizard. But after the wife started the cat collection, we’ve let the lizard and snake collection age away. It’s easier where they don’t get to play together. Though we still have several elderly snakes that get plenty of love in their own room.
Oskar is allowed limited time with squeaky toys. But we gave him one at about 2pm today. It’s now 7pm and it’s been 5 straight hours of him squeaking the shit out of that tennis football.
That’s a heckuva sturdy squeaky toy!
Beautiful dog and, I must say, beautiful floor. I hope he doesn’t scratch it up!
My dog had many toys but he clearly had one absolute favourite. It was a squeaky toy about the size and shape of a corn cob, with a heavy rope and handle on one end so you could play tug-of-war with the dog. We didn’t do that often, but he just loved to squeeze it and hear it squeak. Whenever a friend came over, he would rush over to see who was at the door, and if he recognized the person, he’d suddenly run back to his room (yes, the dog had his own bedroom) and reappear with the squeaky toy, the message clearly being “play with me!”.
Thanks, since I did the floor. Hardwood floors are actually pretty easy, if you have patience.
But yeah, if you give Oskar something that makes noise he will sit there making it scream until you can’t take it any longer and put it on top of the fridge, or the squeaker gives out.
At which point he will sit in front of the fridge and look at the top of it waiting for you to give it to him.
I got Bob a new bone today - filled with something I’m not entirely sure of, but he’s happier than a pig in shit right now.
I love this picture of Bob! So nice to see this much happy in one bundle.
Awwwwww….
