My Coco-cat decided to sit in my lap yesterday and express ownership of me as the cat-wife, since the hooooman-wife was away. She was very smug about it.
Interesting variant on the saying “putting lipstick on a pig”.
This reminds me of a time when I applied some oil to one of my cats who needed some help getting his ass clean. His eyes flew open and he let out a holler like we’d never heard before. Clearly, he was telling us, “No means no!”
She was very gorgeous about it. And righteously smug, given how beautiful and poised she is.
I think she heard you. She’s been all cuddly this morning, which is difficult, because I’m trying to get the house cleaned up before I drive to Denver and pick up our houseguests for a long weekend of lite-vacation, overeating, over-drinking, and over-spoiling cats.
Glad to hear she liked it. Work overtime on that vacation lite, willja, especially the cat-spoiling aspect. And then come back here to tell us all about it, with pictures of course.

So, I was attempting to spoil the cats (there is a brand new cat toy in the house which is a winner so far) but there is a new distraction!
Why be spoiled by humans where there is a live-action cat toy going on?!

Yes. Our house had an outside deck that we added additional upright supports to and converted into a catio. 
Oh, man, I wish I could have a catio at my condo!
5 years ago yesterday, we picked up Luna and life was never the same. Inna and I wanted to treat her to a spa day, but Luna decided she didn’t like the hair dryer, so all she got was her birthday bandana.
Her doggie grin would fix just about every thing! Skritches from afar.
I was asked to make sure to add plenty of photos from the lite-vacation, last night, Coco was being spoiled, with a lovely warm nest made for her on the couch:

Coco and Kai are both sure beautiful! Nothing like gorgeous cats draped around the furniture to make a place feel like home.
Good news is rare these days, so I wanted to pass along this update on Valerie the Dachshund. Put a lot of dust in the room at my house, I can tell you.

Oh, and never underestimate the toughness of a dachshund. 
Me, too. I could just see it in my (blurry) mind’s eye.
LOL, gave me hope for Ollie if he ever gets lost here! Which will never happen, because I keep such close tabs on the little jerk. But agreed, they are much tougher than they look!
I’m also glad to see the news. I always despair at how my cats would do in any of the worst-case-scenarios that prowl the mind in the dark of the night, and it’s encouraging to know how tough even the most house-bound pet can be even if we don’t expect it!
