This is how Bob sleeps - with his eyes half open and his tongue half out.
Frikkin adorable.
Poor old ex-stray Bruiser had to go to the vet today for dental work under anesthesia, and while under sedation they also shaved off most of his badly matted fur (he hates being groomed and fights it). We lucked out – didn’t need the expected extractions.
He’s home, wanting more than the small spaced-out meals he’s allowed tonight, and pretty much himself otherwise. His shaved areas are velvety. They found scars under the fur when they shaved him, on his shoulders and back, likely acquired during his time as a stray.
He does look ludicrous, doesn’t he? And smaller than when he was fully furred.
“I’m going to kill you in your sleep for doing this to me.”
“I am VENGENCE, I am THE NIGHT!”
Oh. It’s a cat. LOL.
LOL, poor Bruiser, indeed, he does look ridiculous! Funny as hell. Thanks for sharing! He’s going to feel so much better, though, with all those mats off him. Glad he didn’t need the extractions, too.
Here’s a pic I’ve been meaning to post for a while, of two beloved cats now gone, Dmitri (left) and Finn. They were such good friends - I have many pics of them cuddled up.
This photo came about because I had washed my electric blanket and draped it over a bench to let it dry, since I didn’t want to put it in the dryer. Dmitri and Finn immediately made themselves at home.
I see they did a little leg shave of Bruiser as well. Nibbler didn’t get a full shave, just those little strips around the “ankles” (not really ankles, morphologically speaking):
Looks like she’s wearing little Cat Uggs.
Heh. He was clingy and purring all evening and snuggled with me when I went to bed. Right now he’s curled up napping on my legs in the recliner.
That’s a lovely photo of lovely cats.
I don’t know if it’s the blanky backdrop that kind of looks like a bunker, or the piercing, yet resigned, look in Dmitri’s eyes, but this pic makes me want to write a story about spy cats in WWII. Also, BOOP!
What a FINE looking hound!
So, after a sold week of rain/slow/drizzle, the sun came back for a bit yesterday, and the cats were basking in the glory of Sun God Ra as a consequence, so I snapped this one:
No comment on the later craziness of sun-warmed cat energy.
Awwwwwww….that’s a belly just waiting to be scritched.
