Have I posted this before? Oh, well, not gonna scroll through multiple posts of mine to find out. Here are brothers Squash (L) and Pumpkin napping with Teddy – yes, of the ETF brother trio. I miss having orange boys.
That is just exquisite! They just exude contentment.
“It’s too hot to sit in the bay window” he says, and granted the local microclimate out front says it’s 97F.
Have I posted this one before? A quick search doesn’t turn it up, so here is Teddy, formatted to be the header at a couple of social media sites.
He appears to be contemplating something and I don’t think it’s good news for someone…
It looks that way, doesn’t it? But Teddy was a sweet-natured guy, he just had resting killer face.
Here are two more of my late orange boys – more of a pale red or dilute, any way: squash, with the blaze face, and his brother Pumpkin.
What does a large German Shepherd do when he’s confronted with a menagerie of kittens in his bed? Watch!
Based on the (non) reaction of the kittens, I suspect them of being previously acquainted. Still fun to watch.
Description reminds me of an interaction years ago between a recently-acquired kitten and a dog of similar size to the one in the video – I came into the kitchen and was greeted by a confused and somewhat disturbed dog saying, in effect: “There’s a kitten in my food dish! How am I supposed to eat? There’s a kitten sitting on top of my food!”
Love the spots!
Kai looks displeased that you’re disrupting their nap.
– very pretty cat!
Oh God I love this picture.
Oh, I would so love to have a house where there was nowhere to sit if it was for the reason pictured! Beautiful doggies everywhere!
My Bernese Mountain Dog had a favoured small sofa in the family room that he considered his own. He never slept there overnight, but it was where he went to nap and relax, and when he realized that he had been a Bad Dog, it was his safe space where he felt most comfortable.
Notice how the leather sofa has been repaired with large pieces of tape! Someday we’ll replace this awful furniture, but honestly…I’d rather have dogs than a nice couch any day.
What a happy – and happiness-giving – sweetie! Bailey looks very spry and chipper for his age!
Thanks! She looked pretty good after this grooming, which is why I took the photo, but she’s definitely feeling her age these days: arthritis, significant muscle weakness (incl. occasional fecal incontinence when she’s sleeping), and some vision/hearing degredation. But I’ve made adjustments around the house to help her mobility, meds seem to be keeping her relatively comfortable, and I’ve gotten compliments on her general condition from vet techs (lots of “for her age,” which I’ll take
). I do deliberately avoid traveling, so as to kennel her as little as possible, but mostly we just take things a day at a time. She’s been my best friend since she was 3 months old; I’m all about looking out for her quality of life!
