A moment of silence now for Allie, a good cat.
Sorry, but that one’s a bit too similar to Allie, IMO. We definitely don’t want the confusion of having pets (past/present) with too similar names.
Considering what she can do to a litterbox, this is a good candidate. (snicker)
We are still with a dog, but I am with my son at a special needs work training place and they have a dog . This is Jagger, a retired mountain rescue dog, a little stiff in the hips and a good boy who throughly deserves the comfy sofa and blankets.

Despite the looks, this image of Kai cat is one moment of resigned fatigue before he begins shrieking again, for… cat reasons. He is in the middle of a being snugged as a punishment while also rewarding me for putting up with said shriekage.

He’s a purebred Bengal cat we adopted (with a generous donation) as his prior family moved out of state. But yes, their striking colors are one of the reasons they’re sought after! They do have a pretty wide variety of stripes / rosettes / colors depending on the sub breed though.

It took almost three weeks from the time we accepted that the kitten is now a family member, but we finally settled on her name (I have NEVER had this much trouble naming a pet).
Meet….
Kasya.
(I didn’t want the C initial for Cassia because having the names of three consecutive cats have initials A, B, and C seems a tad cutesy. DH wanted the -ya ending because he prefers that pronunciation to ee-ah, wanting one syllable instead of two.)
She looks more ceylon colored than cassia anyway, but Kasya is a beauty!! 
She also gets along with Buddy a lot better than Allie did:

and Kasya is clearly exactly where she wants to be. And very pleased about it.
— hey, Kasya. Your ear is inside out. (or is some of it just hiding under the arm of the chair?)
And we have cuddles by cats who are both awake at the time. 
Sweet boys [correction! one girl one boy!], but they look as if they’re not sure whether they should be snuggling back to sleep or launching their bid for world domination.

Kasya (on the left) is a girl :). Buddy thinks she’s got a lot of training ahead before she’s ready for them to start plotting global conquest, I think.
Buddy, however, looks a bit like he just woke up and is trying to figure out what’s going on.
I’d taken several pictures of them and I think he was getting a little tired of it.
At least he didn’t get up and stomp off.
