That rat is obviously not stainless steel. He’s too floofy and adorable.
He’s named after Harry Potter because he has a marking on his forehead that looks vaguely like a lightning bolt. You can’t see it in that photo though.

Rescue thought feral who turned out not to be?
(I at first thought I’d found a grey ear in the upper left of the photo, but I think that one’s a pillow.)
Roomate and think he was feral for 15, 20 minutes tops based on his hunting skills. He does have trust issues with new people, but if you get invited to dinner, then wake up without your balls, and part of your ear torn off, you’d have issues, too.
I remember the pet rat in the movie The Abyss.
