Pet pictures!

I feel the same way, just about Siamese cats instead. I don’t ever want to be without one again. My kids need to be sure that one is with me in hospice.

I’m seriously going to have to work on training the next ones though. These are spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!

Here’s my Insane Puggle Posse.

Cody is almost 13, and a cross between Prince Joffrey, Dudley Dursley, and EricCartman:

Doug is almost 6 and is a clown:

Those two are adorable-they look like good snugglers.

Allow me to introduce my new(ish) girl Helena. Eleven years old. Technically still a foster, but… probably not going anywhere.
Loves going outside and just hanging out. LOVES toys and does not destroy them. Very polite, but really loves making new friends. The staff at the vet’s office found her utterly charming. I also find her utterly charming.

She is beautiful.

I find her completely charming as well. Skritches of her favorite kind to her.

Adorable and happy pup.

Helena and the monkey are making the same face!

Testing to post Max:

Yay! It worked. You can see his little “nest” next to him, but this time he wanted to sit in my spot on the couch with his head propped on the tiger pillow. You can also see his Doggo ramp.

We got him in October 2019. We’d just lost the second of our previous two doxies in August, and we were so sad we thought we’d wait a little bit. But my sister started cruising the dachshund rescue site, found Max, and the rest is history. He’ll be 12 in May, which isn’t so old for a dachshund, but he was diagnosed with cancer late last year. It’s inoperable and a type which doesn’t respond to chemo or radiation. So, we giving him the best care we can to keep him around and comfortable as long as we can. So far he’s still active and happy.

He came from a stable home. An older couple had him, one of which died, then, unexpectedly the second died shortly after. Their son took the two dogs, but got divorced and his apartment lease would only let him keep one. He said he kept the “older crabbier” one and put Max in rescue.

He’s a complete sweetie. As well trained as a doxie can be. Only one weird quirk – he HATES riding in the car. What dog hates car rides???

Oh, Max is really cute! Skritches of his favorite kinds from me.

He prefers a post-prandial massage. Thanks!

This picture shows how big Huck is. He’s watching for ANY movement outside so he can bark!

Hey, who needs a reason to bark? There is the Existential Bark – just because. :dog:

I always enjoy meeting dogs like this when walking Max. It’s so nice to be able to pet a dog without having to crouch at all!

I also like petting pit bulls because their heads are like ROCKS.

Nope! No bending over is required to pet Huck. His head is also like a rock. I’ve been clunked in the head numerous times.

Yea, he enjoys barking. There doesn’t have to be a reason at all. And his bark is LOUD and proud!

I like the way Huck has learned to take advantage of his size! A small dog would probably be looking out the window by lying on the arm of the couch.

Doxies sit on the top of the back. All my doxies did this. One of them would lie up there when I was sitting on the couch and every once in a while give me a stealth lick. Thunder was the sweetest girl.
