Poohbah is fabulous! I sure hope George grows up to look half as wonderful.
I wanted an adult coon, but had no success in my search so bought a Kovid Kitten. I’m sure that some day I’ll have the adult Maine Coon I wanted, but now I have a 6 month old, 10 1/2 lb goofball who can easily jump from the floor to the top of the fridge without scrabbling his feets against the door.
A Kovid Kitten? A kitten bought during the Kovid-19 pandemic? Or, perhaps a Korat? If Korat, you are in for lot’s of fun. They are quite intelligent, affectionate and playful. Our’s keeps us on our toes and provides constant entertainment. Sleek, beautiful coat and coloration, too.
I call him my Kovid Kitten because I bought a Maine Coon kitten when hubs got COVID19. His name is George and he’s a typical 6 month old kitten, except for the part that he’s twice as big as a typical kitten his age so is able to reach and jump higher in his quest of new and different trouble!
As you can see, I disturbed his valuable rest and he is displeased. Good thing he’s too sleepy to do anything about it!
George is a pain in the ass kitten. I knew I didn’t want a kitten, but needs must. He’s going to grow up to be fabulous but right now he’s a PITA. It’s a good thing he’s so cute and cuddly when he wants to be!
@JaneDoe42, how long is George currently? I’m wondering if he’s now bigger than the Princess (an adult Siamese mix). She’s about 21" nose to base of tail, with about 10" of tail.
I can’t keep the sucker off the dining table though he always gets down when I tell him to. I’m a little concerned that he still doesn’t recognize his name yet. Possibly not the sharpest knife in the drawer but definitely the sweetest. He loves to cuddle and will just gaze up at me while in my lap. It just slays me!
I’m not at all sure that most cats think names matter. They clearly recognize when I’m talking to them; but I don’t know that they think this has anything to do with whether I’m using their names.
Of course, it might just be that often we get the names wrong.
WARNING! The following photos contain critical amounts of cuteness.

Okay, you were warned. Here are some puppy pictures of Merry:
She was clearly up to something in this one:
No one crashes harder than a puppy after playtime:
Vash seems to recognize his name when I get his attention (usually to stop him from passive-aggressively trolling our middle-aged fussbudget Dorothy by getting into her space).
