The bestest!
Fabulous ears all around.
Kizzy & my gf ran a 5k Dog Derby fun-run Sunday. It’s an obstacle course race, and Kizzy was amazing thanks to agility training.
It was a fun-run, so there wasn’t a scorekeeper/timer/ judge, but by my calculations they easily won my gf’s age group and were in the top 3 finishers overall.
Stray kitty update: a nice lady did indeed take the kitty home. The kitty has a vet appointment this week for shots and, you know, everything. Several of us chipped in, and will hopefully see some happy pics and updates in the future.
Thanks for update! and will be looking forward to seeing more; I hope with a good vet. report. (And even if not: kitty has a home again.)
Stray kitty update: He has been to the vet, he is a boy, fixed, no chip, approximately 12 years old. He uses the litterbox (most of the time). Tentative name, Captain Stinkybutt (subject to review). I wanted to hear more, but can you believe people kept interrupting us about work-related crap? Rude. I hope to post another picture of him here sometime. In the meantime, to keep this from being too much of a hijack, this is a picture of my last cat who died a few years ago. He was an awful pain in the ass until we moved out to the country and decided to let him do whatever he wanted at all times.
Thanks for the update! and glad the cat has a home. Can’t say that I think much of the name, but the cat probably doesn’t care – food, safety, and ear skritches!
Did you manage, inbetween those annoying people wanting you to get some work done while you were at work, to find out whether the vet. thinks his problem is just starvation or whether something else is wrong?
– deciding to let a cat do what the cat wants is very often by far the simplest thing to do. The cat’s probably going to do it anyway, after all. (One of mine, right now, is going to use my arm as a pillow. The fact that I’m typing with it doesn’t concern him at all.)
Handsome tiger!
My sister just found this old picture on her phone. Our brother, visiting from Costa Rica, with Max on the couch.
“The Boys”
Well, sort of on the couch.
Adorable pup.
He liked to have a lot of his body on the ramp. Weird.
And he was adorable. We lost him this past May. I should have mentioned that. Sorry.
That’s hard
Happy dogs!
Two Very Good Boys.
@Baker, @thorny_locust, and any others interested in the stray cat:
Here he is in his new home, wearing a sweater! I hear he had a much needed bath, and is now known as “Grandpa”.
Can’t remember how to show pics, dammit!
Thanks very much for update!
I like “Grandpa” much more than “Captain Stinkybutt”; and for all we know, he is a grandpa, as we don’t know whether he was neutered before reproducing.
And, presumably, since he had the bath his butt is no longer stinky.
As he’s on top of the bed (couch? chair?) instead of under it he’s most likely pleased with his new quarters; even if they do come with baths and clothing. His coat still looks very straggly, but chronic malnutrition will do that, and it can take weeks for the coat to improve.
Yes, I thought that too. I saw a video of him walking around with the sweater on and he seemed calm and complacent.
