Pet pictures!

Kizzy’s favorite place to visit is Leaning Cask Brewery. They are dog friendly to the point that all their beers are named after dog topics.

She knows to lie quietly and allow people to come pet her. She is wearing her new agility harness!

I just love looking at these adorable dogs. Cats tooof course. Yesterday I bought some bison meat at a shop that has a dog and cat. The dog is a large white German Shepherd and the cat is a gorgeous tortiseshell. Wish I knew how to post pictures.

Kizzy is a very sweet girl! These pictures give me warm fuzzies!

Years ago back where I used to live there was a unique neighbourhood video store that was similarly dog-friendly. Bernie and I would visit all the time and Bernie was much admired. It was a great video store because the owners were genuine movie buffs. The upstairs was more or less a regular video store, but down in the basement was a movie lover’s paradise of nostalgia – every old movie imaginable, and lots and lots of classic old TV series, along with a popcorn machine offering free popcorn while you browsed.

What are some of the names?

My current favorite is an IPA called Zoomies.

Beagle Bitter is good, so is Pineapple Mastiff, and Imperial Ridgeback is a double IPA.

Chiwowwow is a Mexican Lager.

Bob at Crater Lake this afternoon. It was an impulse road trip that consisted of my driving four hours - hiking around with Bob for about 30 minutes - driving fours back. Worth it.

This is my rescue kitty, Raymond. The neighbours just stopped taking care of him. They didn’t move, they just put him out and stopped feeding him. He was in dire need a couple of winters ago. First I made him a little shelter, then I brought him in on cold nights and now he has a cat door and comes and goes as he wishes but mostly eats and sleeps on the bed. He’s about 11 now.

He looks quite pleased with his current situation. Good on you for taking him in.

He’ll probably gradually spend less time outside as he gets older; though it’s not likely to get down to zero.

That third picture…how beautiful. I miss having a cat.

He’s pretty magnificent and I adore him.

What a sweetheart (and I’m not even a cat person)! It’s unbelievable how cruel some people can be, but the world will go on as long as there are good folks like you to make up for them. You have yourself a beautiful and well-deserved little friend. As for the neighbours, I’d be tempted to do something nasty and un-neighbourly if an opportunity presents itself, but I’m not gonna give you any ideas!

Skritches for Raymond!

My Morty’s been gone for about a year and a half and lately have been have great pangs of missing him. I’ve got a little shrine to him with his ashes on my bookcase.

Facebook informs me today is Black Cat Day so in honor …

Monkey likes to sleep curled into a perfect circle of utter darkness but sometimes he stretches his back legs in his sleep, then grabs them.

… what, are they gonna run away from you?

Silly Monkey. Black cats are the best! Here’s my two beauties - Seven and Trei.

I wish my Tobermory could have met your Monkey. But he’s gone, and I’m hoping I get to see him again someday. Toby was a big black cat.

Cygnus will sleep like this for 10, 20 minutes at a time, but only if he’s sleeping on my hand. It’s a requirement that he prevents me from typing properly.
