Way, way back machine. My first black kitty, Wicca, in 1978. I got her on Halloween.
That pic gave me an overload of cuteness.
Same here. How does such a small ball of fuzz contain so much cute?
Crap. Joining the black cat brigade: Another stray showed up at work. Just look how small this baby is! The good news is, he has a clipped ear, so at least he’s been fixed. Calling this one Cactus, because he resembles an illustration in a children’s book I had. (I say “he”, but I don’t know if it’s a he or a she)
Your workplace seems to be either a cat attractor, or an attractor of people who dump cats. I hope that the supply of potential adopters will be as large as the supply of cats needing homes. This one at least doesn’t look to be at death’s door (yet).
My MIL celebrated her 86th birthday yesterday. My gf’s youngest brother and his wife drove down from Vermont with their dog. A nephew left the table and the dog took his chair, refusing to give it up. She won, just sitting there quietly
As well she should have!
What a beautiful goofy face. I’m thankful I got to see it.
How cute! We had a dog that looks like it could have been related. The dog followed a friend of mine to our house. Dad was drunk and I talked him into letting us keep her. Only dog we had growing up because Dad was in the air force.
Is that painting The Last Supper?
Hati looks absolutely amazed at how good that treat was! I for one would not be able to resist giving him lots more of whatever that was (turkey?) just to watch his rapturous expression! Some dogs don’t do well with too much people food, but my vet once informed me that chicken (and similar) was easy to digest and a good basis for most dogs’ nutrition.
It is indeed! A print, not the original, which is housed in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy, .
You got that off of a tiny corner?
Yes, I did.
So, somehow this happened. My wife went with a friend who was looking for a puppy yesterday. Her friend got one and brought it home and her two other dogs(nor her husband) liked the puppy at all. Our two dogs seem OK, if somewhat confused with this turn of events(not to mention me).
We’re thinking of Juno as a name for her.
My wife and I went to a local no-kill cat rescue today to play with kitties and drop off a donation, and came back with … zero new cats. Because our two are a bit pugnacious. Despite our massive self-control, the two feline overlords felt slighted and demanded tribute and attention. Which was, of course, provided. However, I must further prove my loyalty to them, so I’m sharing a picture from last summer of the two getting along:
Here’s Monkey being a complete goofy-nutz. That’s my arm supporting his head, because otherwise he would have simply rolled off my lap.
I may have missed you saying something about it before, but does Monkey only have one eye? That’s the way it looked on my phone’s browser, anyway.
Since other people were posting pics of their black cats, here’s my greatest cat ever, the late, great, Beru.
On my laptop screen, he appears to have a paw blocking one side of his face.
