Pet thread!

Shayna, Mew reminds me of Kitty K, too.

Everybody’s pet is wonderful. Kitty K sends cheek rubs and prr prrs to all.

Boscibo, I’ll think good thoughts for your kitty if you’ll do the same for my Idol. He’s in pain from … something. We don’t know if it’s in his shoulders or the lower part of his neck, but he’s walking funny with his front legs and he’ll yelp if he moves the wrong way. We took him to our vet for x-rays but they didn’t turn up anything obvious. The vet school can’t see him for three weeks, and a private specialist can’t get him in for another 10 days. He’s on severe restriction of activity and pain meds until that time. Greyhounds his age often get bone cancer, so we are very anxious to get him seen ASAP. The entire thing sucks in every way possible.

Pumpkin is his housemate and she doesn’t get why we’ve fenced off most of the backyard, either.

The kitties lying on their backs are hilarious. Should’ve had a spoot warning on those. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! It’s the desktop wallpaper on my girlfriend’s work computer.

This is Peebee, nestled up and poking his head out of a old sheet. Here he is in his cage, hanging out on his pig pillow.

This is Sienna, sitting on the couch and pouting.

Nice to see that Furrball isn’t the only one who spends most of her sleep time on her back. Usually she’s in a corner or up against the wall so she can prop herself up. She was a stray who followed me into the house one day 6 or 7 years ago and never left.

Neko came from a shelter; when I walked into the area with all the cats she looked right at me and started screaming at me so I knew with that attitude she’d be a demanding little thing and she is. She was 2 at the time and I’ve had her almost 10 years now and she’s been a cranky little old lady the whole time.

Shimi was adopted from the same shelter at the same time as Neko; he was only a couple of months old at the time and had been found wandering alone by the side of the street. He had a big black splotch of hair on the top of his head and a pink nose and as he grew the color all disappeared off the top and appeared on the nose.

Gideon and Goldie in an uncompromising position.

Crazy Ole Bob Ranger rockin’ out.

We also have Skunk Marilyn and Cleo Rose, no pictures available, who are the world’s smallest and largest gray female cats, respectively.

Yeah, I mean compromising. What happened to Edit?

That’s hilarious; looks like a pet version of the WWF.

Or something.

OMG, that is hilarious! Emma likes to prop herself up, too, only the opposite way, leaning back against a pillow. The only bad thing about them splaying themselves out like that, is containing the uncontrollable urge to go up to them, press your face into the soft, curly fur and go BLBLBLBLBLBLBLBL. Trust me, you don’t want to know what happens if you try this!

Which reminds me, I neglected to post a link to Emma’s Page O’ Pics. Spoot Warning on all of the above for romansperson (I hope you get good news about Idol!).

“Beardy”

“Snickers”

“Choco” (brown one) “Marshmallow” (white one) “Kiara” (white dog) & “Sierra” (blackdog)

“Gypsy” our Beloved Elkhound who is no longer with us. She is behind our black dog
“sonic” the hedgehog

Bobotheoptimist did show some pics of our pets but this is all of them. Gypsy as I said in the link is no longer with us and she is missed so much! :frowning:

Our Beasties:

The Borgi Brigade (Mojo and Binkley, Beagle/Corgis):

and our female, Penny. No idea what her mix is. Dalmatian, terrier, heaven only knows!

And now that I’ve browed the thread and everyone’s fuzz-butts, all I can say is,

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

And good thoughts to Bo and Idol, and their people.

Oreo.

Luna-brat

Guinea the pig.

And my mother’s big dumb lump of a dog, Roxy.

I broke down and bought a laser pointer today. Oreo pays no attention, but Luna’s not too bright and she’ll chase the light around in a circle until she gets dizzy and falls over. I don’t know when I’ve been so entertained.

Here’s Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, KB.
Here he is, being cute.
Here he is looking silly.
Here he is looking evil.
And here he is with his arch nemesis, Rupert.

We only adopted him a few weeks ago, but we think he lives up to his namesake. He definitely loves kicking his toy mouse Trafalgar’s ass.

Alvin, eight year old purebred Rottweiler looking like the manly man eater he is.

His cat, Phoenix, who hasn’t been quite the same since a car accident that left her with brain swelling. She’s still a hilarious beastie though, and she loves Alvin.

My cat, Saturn, who lives with my mum. She is more affectionately known as ‘Bitch Features’, but she’s very affectionate. She just has this bitchy look on her face constantly.

And Bonus Prize; the late Cooper. What a loon.

I love looking at everyone’s pets! This thread rules.

And now, my menagerie (nearly all of whom are some kind of rescue…we’re such softies):

Inigo, adopted from the pound at 10 months. Best cat EVER!

Mija, found as a starving stray kitten…and here, blitzed out of her mind on 'nip.

My two corn snakes, Cleo–age 2 weeks here–and the late, great Henry, who died of cancer not long after.

Angelin her prime–she’s now 12 years old, badly arthritic, but still thesweetest, most mothering doll of a dog to our new baby. She was rescued from a pet store (long story) by my parents, then adopted by us when my father’s Parkinson’s progressed to where he could no longer care for her.

My beloved SA Ferrana Moniet, AKA “Ana,” a 19yro Arabian mare who I adore to pieces. She has my heart and is completely unwilling to let go of it. She is absolutely wonderful. Her facial expression here says it all–gentle, kind, beautiful.

Then there’s little Firefly, the bossy, too cool for you miniature horse. She too was a rescue. We love her to pieces–she isn’t mean, just too smart for her own damn good. She’s like the junior highers hubby and I both teach…she’s constantly pushing buttons and testing boundaries, but you can’t help but love her goofiness despite herself.

Oooooh, I love these threads! This is the first time I have been able to post pictures of my pets since I opened my photo bucket account.

Here is Solomon the Saluki, who is far more dignified then he appears in this picture…really.

And here are Yzma the wannabe siamese and her flunky Kronk the wannabe abby.

Here’s my Shan. And again. And begging for a belly rub.

My current crop includes Piper as a baby and all grown up, more or less. Pixel the magnificent. Maeve, Queen of the castle. And the cute Willow.
Special mention must go to the late Best Cat Ever dwyr.
