Minnie Riperton had a #1 U.S. hit called “Lovin’ You” in 1975, which I assume is the song you are talking about. She died in 1979.

Screw pets.com, they’re annoying and unfunny sockpuppet is a blatant ripoff of Conan O’Brien’s Late Night puppet Triumph the insult comic dog. Right now, Disney-owned pets.com is suing Triumph’s creator Robert Smigel for expressing his opinion on the matter on the Daily Show.
