This report is causing a stir in the golf world: that the PGA is considering moving its championship (the final major) to an overseas location to revitalize the event. Some reports are that it may even go to Australia. Does this seem like a good idea to you, and do you think it will happen?
They’re considering moving it to an international location once or twice a decade. I can’t see how that would make much of a difference to U.S. fans, except perhaps if the time difference caused problems. I know that ABC has stopped carrying the British Open (moved it to ESPN), but I’m not sure how much the time zone factored in.
