Photo From Ric Burns' documentary "New York"

At the end of the “Cosmopolis” episode there is this amazing photo. I must have it, but don’t want the words at the bottom. I have searched the internet but can only find the titled version above. Anyone know where I might find it?

Research shows that this is “Aerial view of midtown Manhattan looking south, 1931,” by Samuel Gottscho. It’s part of the Mythic City collection of the Museum of the City of New York. Here’s a link to the image, which funnily enough is depicted as an example at the top of the museum’s gift shop page but isn’t listed as one of the available prints.

However, apparently you can order a custom print; you just need to request it. From that page:

Hope that helps. Good luck!

I thought I recognized that photo.

It was my wallpaper for weeks!

This does help, and I thank you very much.

I love it so much. There is just something so “Gothamic” about it.
