Here in Omaha, at the Joslyn Museum, they have a painting by Moses Soyer entitled “Portrait of H. G.” I loved that painting. It was a portrait of a sad man in a blue suit sitting on a wooden chair. Unfortunately, it is no longer on public display. I miss it. It was my favorite painting in the museum.
I’ve been looking around on line trying to find a print or an image of that painting. Preferably an image I can keep on my laptop but I would be equally happy with something to hang in my house. I’m stumped, though. I don’t know how to find such a thing. Googling has failed me and my limited abilities; returning a lot of summaries about Moses and his two brothers but no sites where I can get a copy of this painting.
Anyone here have experience finding prints on-line? Can you tell me a better way to search?
Ideally, some sharp doper can’t resist the urge to find it, post a url and tell me how easy it was.
