So far as I know, there has never been any connection between the two, other than both being located in Very Cold Places (Ottawa probably wins that one). Confusion is pretty rare, though, because at least in this country few people have heard of either! (Although mine has done well in the US News rankings, so that’s helped recently.)
But…but…Ukelele Ike is not wearing spats. Or suspenders. Or a snappy boater hat. And he doesn’t have a flower in his lapel.
Ike is not conforming to the image I always had in my mind. I need to go reevaluate the world now.
I had not thought about what any of the mods look like, but Ike is a good looking guy! “Gangsta Ike” was the best. But he’s probably married.
