Pickle in? Pickle out? Have it your way!

From a new ad campaign Burger King in Germany. Tray liners:

“At Burger King we’re extremely serious about controlling the quality of our ingredients. That’s why we examine everything. Thoroughly.” :eek: And check out what was in the onion’s luggage.

The only game I’ve played so far is the “Salad Shooter”. Press the space bar to reload.

I don’t think I want to eat vegetables that have body cavities.

I saw the airport one a while ago - it’s on my “My Pictures Slideshow” screensaver. Pretty funny for a big corporation, assuming it’s real…

I don’t see anything unusual. It’s TSA policy to only hire vegetables.

Why are “official” people portrayed only as pickles? Does the government discriminate against legumes or fruits?

This all seems a little over the top even for Germany…or am I getting whooshed?

This one is hilarious:

Pickles have no modesty. Their women are all walking around topless.

I would love to have a set of those placemats!!!

These are for Germany? Then why is the text in english?

German Burger King often uses some English to maintain a faux-American image. E.g. “Have it your way!” is the same. However those images aren’t exactly as they are used in Germany. In the actual German version all the longer bits of text are in German. As far as I can tell German (and probably other non-English) advertising agencies frequently do that. They make two versions of a campaign: one in the local language for actual use and one in English for their portfolio.

Ref: The thread title …

This reminds me of the scene in one of the Hannibal Lecter movies in which Hannibal asks his trussed victim, whom he is about to hang from a balcony railing, “Bowels in or bowels out?” An incredibly gruesome moment followed.

This is why I don’t watch “those” movies any more.

Ah=) danke dir=)
