One I forgot to mention: If you were in West Linn two years ago and saw posters for the high school jazz concert, those were mine.
(And I just found out which of my Zazzle posters someone bought! It was the fractal one. Incidentally, I wrote the computer program that generated the image, which means somebody, somewhere, has the output of my code hanging on their wall! I’m strangely proud of this.)
If you are under the age of 12 in my town, there is a very small chance (it’s a very big city) I might have seen you when you were a still a sperm and/or an egg. I could have seen your eggy self on ultrasound in the office while it was still on your mom’s ovary. I also might have washed your spermy half and made sure it was clean and well placed so that it and the egg had a good chance of meeting. Later on, I could have been one of the first people 3 or 4 to see your heartbeat.
I’m not in the fertiltiy clinic anymore, but in a hopsital based problem pregnancy unit. I’m fortunate to get to see the results of my work frequently, but I don’t think an average person would recognise my small role in this great adventure.
Wow, Ca3799, how do I follow up that great work with my story?
If you own or have worked on a Kubota tractor somewhere in the US or Canada, and have needed to fix it sometime since June, 2003, then you may have handled parts I helped take care of.

…then chances are good I typed up your medical report and made it all pretty for the doctor.
I machine the steering column yokes that go on all Econoline series and BMW M Class autos. For every one that goes into production, 25 sit in some “Raiders”-like warehouse, waiting…
If there is a recall, those yokes were produced by my assistant!
I’m a postal worker. The chances of my having processed a piece of mail you have sent or received may not be that huge, but I’ve sent stuff all over the world. Every country.
