Piers Morgan: always this bad?

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

It sounds like you think that assholes can only be conservatives. Liberals may not idolize their assholes as much as conservatives do but there are liberal assholes just as there are conservative assholes.

Piers is also a passionate and vocal supporter of Arsenal Football Club (a London based Soccer team). That’s my team as well and every supporter I know hates him. Thank you USA for taking him off our island.

Anyone who turns on a channel that purports to televise journalism deserves whatever they get, whether it’s Larry King, Piers Morgan, Glenn Beck, or Bill O’Reilly.

Well… Are there any extant recordings of him speaking when he could speak? Sure, his stupid vocoder speaks semi-American, but what did he actually speak, when he had a voice?

I mean, if yer gonna nitpick, let’s start counting turtles…

You say nitpick I say it was a fucking joke. Tomato tomahto.

What’s the fun in that?

Is it just me, or is that host a Thermian?

That makes me sad. Would you mind adding this guy as one of your data points for future generalisations?

Sorry; you said it with (so to speak) such a straight face, I thought you were serious. It’s one of the classic problems with communication in flat text mode: the context of “tone of voice” is absent. But I’m also notoriously deaf to such hints anyway.

(But, like, so, does anybody actually know? When Hawking did speak, did he sound British?)

Of course he did - he’s British - born, bred and raised in London, Herefordshire, Oxford. Why would his own voice (when it worked) sound anything but British?

You’re not far off, you should hear Jimmy’s laugh.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t, he grew up in England and most of his colleagues were English. I realised when I was responding the only recording I’d seen of him was this one. There’s also a good documentary of his life starring Benedict Cumberbatch (in which he is portrayed as speaking with a British accent).

Missed edit window: Whitney and Amy down, Moir still living. Huh.

That’s exactly what I was referencing.

Just assume I’m never serious. It works out better that way.

One of the things he was amused about once he got a computerized voice was that it had an American accent. According to Wiki he still uses his original computerized voice even though it’s no longer being produced because he’s become used to it and prefers it like it is.

I believe it was the American accent of Hawking’s voice equipment that led to a US newspaper amusingly claiming “People such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn’t have a chance in the UK, where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man, because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless.

He is* very hated in Briton.

Which Briton?

I assumed that he used an American accent because he didn’t want to sound like Marvin the Paranoid Android.
