Pig in a parkway

Traffic on the Parkway West (the 376) near Pittsburgh was slowed down this morning by a pig running loose on the roadway.

I’m glad I came to work earlier, so I didn’t get caught in that traffic (the 376 is bad enough as is), but it might have been kind of cool to see the pig running around on the road. This article has a picture of the pig on the road.

Awwww… it was just a baby and wearing a scarf. I’m sure the poor thing was petrified. I’m glad I wasn’t in the traffic. It would have too hard to not pull over and try to catch the thing.

Wouldn’t that be a porkway?

Were the tires squealing?

The piglet was trying to commit sooey-cide…

The Post-Gazette article does refer to it as a porkway.

groan

Thank goodness it got off the parkway before I had to go to Shadyside.

He’s such a ham.

Never buy a Pig in a Parkway.

It’s a good thing nobody hit him, he’d have turned into a grease spot.

Ummmm, bacon on the hoof.*

*Or whatever you call the feet of a pig
