Pig (the dice game)

Now that we can roll dice, let’s play Pig.

Here are the rules:

A player throws a die and scores as many points as the total shown on the die providing the die doesn’t roll a 1. The player may continue rolling and accumulating points (but risk rolling a 1) or end his turn.

If the player rolls a 1 his turn is over, he loses all points he accumulated that turn, and he passes the die to the next player.

Play passes from player to player until a winner is determined.

Guide to rolling dice on the SDMB:

I believe you can reply more than three consecutive times if you’re rolling dice because the dice throw from discobot interrupts your consecutive posts.

You can roll up to 20 dice with up to 120 sides each but this game involves rolling one die at a time. To do that you must type: @discobot roll 1d6 where 1 is the number of dice and 6 is the number of sides.

Because the board won’t allow you type exactly the same reply over and over again your post should start with your current score. Then the instruction to Discobot should be on its own line.

If you roll a 1 then you must reply with:

BUST

If you want to hold your score and let someone else have a go then type:

HOLD

This means you can start the next round with some points banked towards your total. First to 100 wins.
