Pittin' myself, this just sucks, and I have to be strong.

Good. The best Pittings leave us feeling wrung out, but with a lot of the toxins out of our system.

Good for you - re-assure her thoroughly and often.

Awww. A Christmas engagement?

“Be a terrible shame if something were to happen to you…”

Its all over the little lady’s (is that better than old lady?) mom died a couple of weeks ago. Her brother came home, and had a set date to leave.

We all kind of figured she would hang on while he was here, and she did, started going seriously down hill the night before he left. The day after he left she just kind of slipped out. Marie’s brother hadn’t even made it as far as Tokyo yet.

Been a little weird the past couple of weeks. The property is kind of lonely, looking
across the arroyo at an empty house. Taking a leak at 3am and the kitchen light is still on over there because there was nobody to turn it off when they went to bed.

Marie is holding up pretty well, she’s a little bit of a mess, which is quite understandable. I’m doing my best to keep her sane. She went and bought herself a newer vehicle, which she needed, gave her something to do. She’s still out on a leave of absence. Dealing with all the paperwork and BS.

Her parents house ran out of gas right before her mom died, and they found out it leaks, so we’re dealing with that, and then right after her mom died, her mom’s waterbed popped, so we had to deal with that.

Trying to find a place for all of her mom’s critters. One cat, her dad’s cat came back to our house. That makes 7 cats and 2 dogs at our house, she’s a Siamese and she’s affectionate but cranky, and LOUD. But we have no room for 5 more cats and a rabbit.

The poor rabbit (Geraldo), that was her mom’s bud, he even slept on the bed with her. He’s lonely, we took his best cat buddy to our house. He would never even let me get with in 20 feet of him, he let me pet him the other day.

On the other hand, all my grandparents are doing fine, even my grandmother with
brain tumors, I guess they were little and they got em early. My dog is still kicking, except Marie gave her a few too many bones and she put on 11 lbs in 6 weeks. So her new nick-name is “fat ass” and she’s on a diet. Didn’t realize those bones where almost 100 calories a piece… woops.

Fuckin’s sucks, finally found a woman in my adult life that got along with her parents. We moved into her house because my 1968 double wide was not all
that cool(according to her, I thought it was cool), and she owned her house, on 5 acres her parents gave her. Moving was a 5 month process, I wouldn’t give my notice until she told her dad and had his blessings, and I had some separation anxiety giving up my bachelor pad (it really was a dump), and I wanted to give at least 3 months notice since my landlords were really good to me.

Her parents were so cool, and it was fun living there because there was always something going on, people moving around, always something going on. Most of that stopped when her dad died, and now its just dead. 20 acres, 2 houses, and its just dead, just the 2 of us. Pretty boring. Kind of depressing.

Anybody want a rabbit???

Aw, sorry to hear it bubba, good luck to you both!

Eventually, new people among family and friends will start to fill the empty spaces, but it’s really tough at first.

Shit, sorry to hear about all your troubles, and my condolences on her passing.

As for her rabbit, please consider looking up your nearest House Rabbit Society branch and find a foster/shelter that knows about rabbits to surrender the bunny. Sounds like that poor guy deserves a good, knowledgeable home.

Sorry to hear about all that, Bubba. It still sounds like you’re doing all you can to help your Little Lady - you sound like a good guy.

Here we are, 4 months out. The puppy dog is doing good, you would never know anything is wrong.

On the other hand, my most awesome old lady, just had some cancer carved out of her lower eye lid. Basil cell carcoma… I haven’t even looked it up yet, Good skin cancer? bad skin cancer? WTF!!! I’m about god damn sick of cancer.

I fart, there’s cancer. I make some coffee… there is cancer, I go to the shop… there is cancer. Every fucking place I look… fucking cancer!!!

I’m fucking sick of cancer!!!

My poor old lady, looks like George Foreman took her to the mat.
She said she isn’t gong into public because it looks like I beat the crap out of her.

She’s black and blue, top to bottom, stitches dragging on her eye ball. I love that woman.

Basal-cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer and it’s the most treatable.

I’m sorry for all the awful things you are going through at the moment. You will get through it, and the pain will pass, but I know that’s not much comfort right now.

What happened with the ring?

Hmmm.

Are you throwing in the house?
