Boca Raton? Tampa?
Ain’t that the truth? He’s a delusional jerk.
Is he the one who keeps alluding to the great fame and esteem he enjoys in real life because he’s the foremost expert in something-or-other?
That’s the one! I particularly liked a few weeks ago when he cited an “expert’s” article to back up one of his arguments. He was the “expert.” I think of it as a lazy man’s sock puppet.
Isn’t it more proper to say “6 provinces” … Canada doesn’t have states per se.
Anyone want to back this up with a linky?
Who the fuck said anything about Canada? New England is a region in the United States.
Here you go. He got called on it a few hours later, and offered a pretty half-assed apology, that while he didn’t disclose that it was his paper, he never claimed it wasn’t his paper either.
Thanks! Also: dang!
[QUOTE=An Gadai]
New England is worse than old England. New England sucks a big one.

Clearly the only rational thing to do is to take over some place halfway across the globe and rename it “Newer England”. Or possibly “Latest England, Get In While It’s Hot”.
And while we’re on the subject, can we rename it Oldfoundland ? We’ve found quite a bit of new stuff since.
I think they may be trying to humorlessly imply that the New England states are more like Canada. Or something. I could be wrong.
In many ways, AB reminds me of the late Q.E.D. Often right, often wrong, often somewhere in between. But almost always with a smug condescending attitude. Typical Doper, IOW.
And who the hell is Percy?
The one and only Percy worth knowing.
I disagree with this assessment of what he did.
What he said - assuming Frank’s link was the correct one - was “This paper makes a complete and coherent argument for ….” That’s not the same thing as a cite to authority based on a claim that an “expert” had backed him up. He was simply directing people to some arguments that he thought were “complete and coherent”. I don’t see anything wrong with that.
Thus confirming that you are a drooling moron.
Any truth to what people are saying about Ray Bradury’s camp being behind this pitting?
That’ll probably get you a bit more popular with the cool kids. Good luck …
I’ve generally liked AB as a poster from my limited interaction with him (whether agreeing or disagreeing with him), but in my view citing your own paper as a “complete and coherent argument…” without mentioning that you’re the author is as troubling as it would be if people were looking for novels and I linked to mine saying “check these out, these are great!” without saying that they were my books.
