Pitting Tamerlane with his load of crap.

Probably because you always ask beforehand, Shodan:smiley:

[sub]I’d say it’s not too late, but then my rubric for determining that, here, is basically “is this thread locked?”[/sub]

Tamerlane, if I may hijack for a moment, how the hell did you end up with a Catholic babysitter named Tova?

[back to confused crossfire of weird and backhanded insults and nose-blowing in various posters’ general direction]

Not a clue. I’m not even sure of her ethnicity and I think I got the Catholic thing many years later from my parents when we were laughing about that incident ( they’re athiests themselves and raised me as such - my mother a refugee from Southern Baptist upbringing, my father from Eastern Orthodox ). Maybe one Jewish parent? I remember her boyfriend was Latino ( I’m thinking his name was Santos ), not that that necessarily means much of anything. But this was back in…1973, '74? I think that’s right because I remember going to the movies with the two of them to see The Three Musketeers with Michael York and Oliver Reed. Or maybe it was 1975 and the sequel.

Well, someone’s got to attack the putative subject of this Pitting, so I’ll volunteer:

Tamerlane, the spelling is not “athiest”, it’s “atheist”. “Atheist”. ATHEIST, DAMMIT!!! Historical crap, why can’t you get it right??? Geez, a person as smart as you are…

How about: “Tamerlane is historically crappy”? Aw, shit, I guess that’s f’ing lame. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dammit, everyone gets pitted but me.

And I make fun of people in political threads and everything.

You’re quite right. I bow my head in shame :D.

Victory! I passed Dyslex onto you.

HA! This is only the first step…

OHO! Aldebaran – so you’re the soucre of my dsylexic typing? Your’e to blaem for all teh errosr I msut constnatly go back and proofraed for? Thnaks a lot! :stuck_out_tongue:

[hijack]

Were you as surprised as I was to see what a gifted comic actress Raquel Welch was in that movie? Too bad her, ah, other assets usually typecast her into dumb sexpot roles.

[/hijack]

Tamerlane is a credit to these boards, and a valuable asset in every discussion to which he contributes. In fact, I’d suggest that we should have him bronzed, except that it would eliminate his ability to type. Plus it would hurt. So forget that bit.

No, the point is, anybody who fails to recognize how thoroughly well-read and well-informed and, yet, unfailingly polite Tamerlane has demonstrated himself to be, time and again, is, without question, a grade-A example of a… Well, let’s go to the source:

I find myself in full agreement with precisely half of this statement. Take a wild guess.
