As I said in the other thread, an interesting thought, but first I won’t be landing on Saturday until about 10:30 at night, and second I go to Pennsic to get away from reality, even if it’s a Dopefest far, far away.

Right, all we need now is Scylla to come in and say he’s got a Blimp Self Defense semenar at South Park, so he too will be in Pittsburgh, but not coming.
It’s a shame you’ll be so close but missing it, Esprix, it’ll be a good time. Maybe next E3 a few LA and San Diego people can get together for dinner and a party.
In other news, I gave wrong directions to Lake Shore Drive. It’s one way, so when coming into the park, there is a light at Kummer road. Make a left there, then an immediate right and you are on Lake Shore Drive. It will be on your left.

My boss is described as the Emelda Marcos of coolers (at one time, 10 different ones stacked up next to the door), so I think I should be able to get one of those too.
If you end up needing a ride, I’ll be happy to get you. I’m going to get there a bit early with a few friends to make sure we have everything needed, ~2 or so. Just let me know. l don’t drink either, so I can drive you home safely, too. Well, ok, maybe not safely, but at least sober.
I notice that the weather forecast says there may be some rain on Saturday. Is there a pavilion or rain shelter at the site?

Your email isn’t in the profile, actually. I’m assuming there will be 15 people or so, however several will not be drinking. I’m sure a case would be plenty, but bring what you think proper. There will be plenty of ice to keep it cool, at least.
As for anything else, dessert, snack foods, whatever. It’s up to you. Just bring yourself and any friends you want to hang out and have a good time.

Youse guys have a “North Park” in downtown PIttsburgh. You also have a “North Park” up near the turnpike. I’m assuming(now) that it’s the one near the turnpike.
This could be confusing. Glad I went back and read directions. What through me off was someone’s reference to the Ft. Pitt. tunnel. That made me think of downtown, and I searched, and, low and behold, there’s a park downtown called “north park.”
And I know that “threw” is not spelled “through.”
Ah, well. I sent you an email, sam, with vague directions.
I guess I’ll bring some burgers to burn, charcoal, some tablecloths, napkins, cups, plates, and plasticware. (It’s already packed.) And some beer.
I’ll be there, regardless of weather- but I’m watching it carefully.
