Referencing a current culinary issue that’s political. It will not be discussed here. Just your preference.
Re: The current, politically-charged culinary issue, I’ve never had it because of reasons not related to the current dust-up.
Re: Preferences, I prefer lots of pepperoni and slices of meatballs, with anchovies. But I’ll eat any kind.
EDIT for poll: Digiorno’s is just OK. I won’t buy Papa John’s. I’ve never heard of Pizza Pit. So I voted that the Moon hit my eye.
.
What’s a “Pizza Pit”?
Da Crust Special (Sausage, roasted garlic & tomato)
I’d sooner starve than eat anything from the poll choices.
Never heard of Digiorno’s* or Pizza Pit, and Papa Johns’ is meh.
*Unless you mistyped “Giordano’s,” in which case – hell yeah!
Assuming “Pizza Pit” meant “Pizza Hut”…I still go with Papa Johns.
Eff the haters!
PH has stuffed crust which is just amazing, but, on the whole, I would choose Papa over any other kind.
There is a new frozen pizza; Supremus Maximus; that I find delicious with added bleu cheese and cilantro.
Generally don’t eat frozen, so Digiorno’s is out. Pappa John’s sucks. No Pizza Pit around here. Had to go with choice number 4.
Had to choose the moon hitting my eye.
Digiornos is frozen so to me that’s not really a pizza that I would go out of my way to get. Good for a quick meal but frozen can’t compare to fresh.
Papa John’s - blah
Pizza Pit - Never heard of it
Up here NE Minnesota the best pizza (IMHO) - Sammy’s
Pizza Pit appears to have 3 locations around Madison, WI. I’ve not tried any of them.
A resounding “no” to the other two choices.
No to your choices. I’d prefer Little Caesar’s if we’re going for cheap, fast and tasty for four reasons:
- Cheap
- Fast
- Tasty
- Indirectly funds the Tigers and Red Wings
But I’d much rather have homemade or from a local pizzeria.
I’d like some Pizza Hut stuffed-crust pizza, except…
[ul][li]I live too far away for delivery;[/li][li]It’s too far away for me to go there;[/li][li]I never think to stop on my way back from Seattle, and;[/li][li]Pizza (Domino’s) was the last thing Mrs. L.A. ate before she went into the hospital with abdominal problems, and she’s been off of pizza since.[/ul][/li]
.
Freschetta from Safeway.
In the interest of answering the poll, I picked Digiorno’s as the only one I would eat of those options.
Never heard of Pizza Pit, Papa John’s is bleccchhh, and I like the song but wasn’t sure what choosing it would have signified.
Honestly my go-to “pizza” is still Totino’s Party Pizza, something that became a staple back in the college-age poverty years. They’re definitely not high quality, but they’re dirt cheap (regular price is just 3 for $5 and they’re pretty much always on sale for less), they don’t take up much room in the freezer, and they sufficiently scratch that particular itch, at least for me they do.
None of the above.
My local pizza place or similar.
There’s a local place near me that delivers. They’re better than any of the listed alternatives.
I don’t think I’ve tried any of the choices. The only pizza I want to eat is the one I’ve made myself. Pesto, olives (Kalamata or the like), goat cheese, walnuts, and parmesan. Or try ham, asparagus. Or even tomato sauce and pepperoni and mozzarella. But the first is my favorite.
Yeah, Gimmee a basic genuine hand-kneaded wheat flour neapolitan pizza, with San Marzano tomatoes & water buffalo mozzerella, baked in a 900 degree F oak-fired stone oven and you can have all those chains with their horrible to mediocre products, Papa Johns included.
