Do you mean you weren’t able to connect to our server, or that no one was around when you were on? We played around 6-10pm pacific or so last night, that’s roughly when we play generally on weeknights plus or minus an hour or two.
Hmmm…it’s was after 9pm, maybe closer to 10…was watching the Kings last tear up Nashville last night. I alphabetized the servers and looked for SDMB after the list was fully populated…so, maybe I just missed you guys. Add me to your list though!
Our server isn’t a publically listed server, so it wouldn’t be on any lists. You have to enter the server information like this.
Ok, I did do that and I did remove “REMOVE”. I’ll try to give another go at it tonight.
Another hockey game got in the way last night (Kings v. Blues) that I couldn’t walk away from.
We usually get the most players on weekends. So I’ll definitely be organizing activities on Friday, probably around 7-8pm eastern. So if you’re interested in giving the game a try, get it downloaded, set up, and get mumble working by Friday and join us then. If we get a few new players it’ll be easy to teach them all at once what they need to know.
Since Sim City isn’t working at the moment, and my computer has a brand new lease on life, I’m going to download this and muck around with you guys.
I will still be at work and won’t get on until about 7 or 8pm pacific…but I will still give it a shot.
We’ll probably get going in about an hour or so. Try to get your game and mumble set up.
There can be a glitch in mumble where you won’t hear the other people talking when you first log in until you’ve activated your mic yourself. So even if you don’t have a mic, set a push to talk key and tap it so that you can hear everyone else.
We’ll be around again tonight, so hop on if want us to teach you the basics.

Yeah, I might have the most geared out prowler on the server. I’ve gone nuts for prowlers, unfortunately we got a few nerfs this patch, much less infantry killing power. I think I’m going to start investing more certs in my prowler though, probably more vulcan reload speed and magazine size.
It’s a double XP weekend so there’s no better chance to get started, and we’ll have lots of SDMBers around this weekend, so if you want to get started, now is the time to try.
If you uploaded the game last week, they just had a big patch, so launch the game in the background early so you have everything downloaded and ready to go later.
I may end up making a trip which may make me gone most of the day, if I’m not around just hop on mumble and talk to whoever is around.
So despite my threadshitting earlier, I’d like to give it another shot, especially if there are going to be SDMBers playing together. Would you be cool with that or should I stay the hell away after what I said?
Sure, hop on. We usually start getting together on fridays around 7 eastern, but if I’m not around to herd the cats it might not have a cohesive starting time. Not sure yet if I’ll be around.

My wife is graduating this weekend with her Master’s Degree and also her birthday, so this weekend we are gonna be out for the weekend. Been planning this weekend for a few months…even picked up a couple of these guys.
Huh, well apparently if I’m gone for just a little bit everything falls apart! So no one has been around until now. But we’re all hopping on if you want in.
We’ll be playing all night, good time to start.
I had a lot of fun over the weekend. (Although when I logged on on Friday night, the server went down about 15 minutes after I started playing, so I ended up playing SimCity instead because their server was up. 
) I finally made it to level 20, not that level matters after 15.
Two fun incidents. I drop-podded into a combat zone. I landed on one of those natural stone arches, next to two enemy snipers. I was momentarily startled. But they totally missed my drop pod landing. A managed to kill them both before they got a chance to do anything. But then I saw the rest of their squad over at one end of the arch. I set up my mana turret before they saw me. And proceeded to make a bunch of kills before someone managed to climb the other end of the arch.
The other high point was when I was patrolling in my Lightning tank around a base, looking for attackers. Usually I find a sniper or two. This time, I found a recently deployed Sunderer with maybe six infantry. I blasted them all, and then took pot shots at the vehicle. And blasted newly spawned enemies, and then back to the Sunderer. (That’s the fun of HE rounds, easy infantry kills, slow vehicle kills.) The Sunderer didn’t have any weapons that could hurt me, and none of the infantry lived long enough to get a missile lock on me. Eventually they drove away, only to get finished off by a passing aircraft.
Of course, I’m mostly on the other end of these things (getting killed quickly), but it’s nice that even lousy players like me have moments of tactical victory.
