Planning breast augmentation surgery.

Well, I’ve been wearing my breast forms, which are C-cups, most of the time for almost a year now, so I’m well acquainted with how Cs feel and look and what clothes look right with them. So if the only reason for going a cup size larger than they think they want is because most women aren’t familiar with having the cup size they think they want, I’ve got that covered.

Congrats on your change. I know some good chatrooms if you are interested, it’s where I get most of my info. I’m assuming you haven’t had the surgery yet and in that case, there is a possibility that your breast size/shape may change slightly after it although it isn’t common for it to. Transwomen tend to have wider chests than cisgendered women which is why larger implants are generally suggested, especially for trans women. A 42 D is very different than a 32 D. You want to have enough boobs so that someone can’t put a fist between them without touching both. If you don’t have a lot of skin to work with, you might want to start out a lower size and then upgrade. This helps prevent the “obviously fake” look and stretch marks. Another trick to try is to increase your progestin production since progesterone increases breast size in most women.

When searching out a doctor, look at a lot of before and after pics, especially the ones not on the doc’s website. The best surgeons for some methods are not the best for others. For example, I think Suporn is the best SRS surgeon but his boob jobs haven’t impressed me.

There will be a lot of people who will try and discourage you away from it but ultimately it is up to you. My best friend is considering BAS as well and I think that for her it is the right decision because she has carefully considered all options and is not doing it out of vanity. There is nothing wrong with getting a boob job, just wrong reasons to get it. The fact that you are researching it suggests to me that you take your health very seriously and won’t do anything stupid or risky.

Talk to a lot of doctors in your area (or elsewhere) and try to find before and after pictures from women who have had jobs done by him or her that aren’t listed on his website. Any good doctor should have plenty of referrals available. Good luck!

Very sensible - I spent much of my pre-pregnancy life as a C cup and found it to be a nice compromise between “va-voom” and “I can grab almost anything off the rack and look fine” (Not spaghetti straps though - those little spaghetti strap tank tops - they are designed for women with bodies like twelve year old boys). It wasn’t until pregnancy (and perhaps a few years/few pounds) put me into the D line that I found clothes shopping more frustrating - and now there is the additional problem of gravity not defying age.

Silicone sack, filled with saline.

I guess it depends how they settle once they’re inserted. Honestly though, it really wasn’t a big deal for her - she only found out recently when she returned to work and had to buy bras. She got fitted and she’s a 38 D, not a 38 C like she had thought. But the bra is just for decency - she doesn’t need it to lift and seperate or enhance or create cleavage or anything, so it’s much less important that it is for a woman with natural boobs.

Pardon my weather hiatus… wishing you the best, Fiver.

I think I was born under a lucky star, as far as that goes. This is me (wearing my breast forms). Don’t you think C will be adequate in my case?

Pardon me while I go be disturbed by the thought of anyone wanting to put a fist between my breasts.

My HRT regimen has included progesterone for the past two years. It has proved insufficient for the growth of breasts of the size I’d prefer.

This is very true.

From those photos, your chest is the appropriate size for your frame, IMO.

Yep - you’re quite petite - I think Cs will be more than adequate.

I have seen some really good enhancements, one that went in from under (tiny little scars) and another that inserted through the armpit.
What used to hold me back was the fact that I have heard that they have a lifespan of ten years and I didn’t want to commit to having surgery every ten years.

The best part, I think, is the fact that they stay up and perky, no matter what. Sigh.

Perkiness is overrated.

My GF at the time had them done last year (actually about a year ago). She now says she wishes she had gone one size bigger(she went from 34C to 34D). She was much happier with the look after the surgery, and as the swelling went down, I think she was disappointed. Pretty much all of her friends have said the same thing- they wish they had gone one size larger.

The size looks classy, IMO, not too much or stripper-ish.

Hmm, breast forms might not be a bad idea for me either… that way my change (whenever I can afford it) wont be so drastic.

The only trouble with that is that if you get older or have kids and pack on a few pounds you’ll end up looking like Duane “Dog” Chapman’s wife.

I’m a 32DD to 34D and if I had my way I’d get a breast reduction to a B. Different strokes I guess.

I can certainly understand wanting breasts, and if the pills did not give them, then surgery might be the only way. And lovely has more components than visual. I have seen hundreds of pairs that don’t look as good, and I like the feel and movement of natural much, much better.

You are super cute! Are you Scottish?

I have to say that those breast forms look a lot more like Ds than Cs because they look a lot like my natural D/DDs when they’re strapped in. Perhaps is’t the combo A+C? Mine seem as if they hide a lot of volume near my arms, there’s a good amount of space in the middle there. Not a whole fist’s worth but enough so I know why Wonderbras are Wonder-ful.

Anyway, good luck and please keep us updated. I asked “Santa” for a lift for Christmas and he gave me a gift card in my stocking. I’m doing research too.

The fist between the breasts thing is hilarious to me. My boobs fluctuate with weight/pregnancy, everywhere from an A to a HOLYSHITMYMILKCAMEIN DD, and everything in between. Never, ever would anyone other than Andre the Giant have a problem placing their fist there with no interference whatsoever. And mine are completely unaugmented, so there ya go.

Your pics don’t look like me as a C. Then again, that may be more like what an augmented C looks like rather than a normally variant C.

Not even Wonderbra’s have ever been able to give me cleavage…

Add my compliments to the others here already. BEAUTIFUL smile.

I would be too scared to have augmentation (not because it’s augmentation, I’m just scared of anyting surgical) but I have a friend who did it and never regretted it. Hers were originally the silicone ones that were pulled, and she has since had them replaced with the saline kind. Both times she said the recovery period was very painful, and because the natural impulse to cross your arms over your chest when your breasts ache is not possible because of the incisions, it was more annoying than just the surgical pain. However, she said the couple weeks of pain and ache were well worth it.

Good luck to you!

Thank you, and why yes, I am Scottish on my daddy’s side! How could you tell?

I don’t know what to tell you; I bought them as C cups at this online store, and every 36C bra I wear them in fits perfectly. I don’t think they’re adding to Patience and Fortitude’s volume, because they get pressed flat against my chest when I put on the forms.

You’re a sweetie!

A girl like me has to get over her fear of surgery if she wants to achieve her dreams.

This is just the sort of feedback I was looking for! Thank you so much!

I have a friend who was blessed with A-cup breasts. I love breasts of all sizes and enjoyed hers a lot! She wasn’t happy with them and had surgery, She’s a very full C / small D now. she is a changed person, more confident and much happier. I think her new look has done wonders for her. I don’t care for the feel of the implants but she’s happy and that’s all that matters.
