I’ve got all sorts of games with fancy 3D graphics or heavy, engaging storylines. But what do I spend most of my time on? That’s right, Plants vs Zombies.

Heh, I just got through the “whack-a-mole” section on level 2(?) My son grimaces when I play it using the touchpad on my laptop so I’m guessing that may be part of my problem.

Sure, the Zombies can’t dodge. But you know what they can do? They can get a goddamned Zamboni up on your roof. How the hell does that happen?

Fun game–my kid loves it and even my wife got hooked though she doesn’t play such games–but I really wish it had difficulty levels, or even at least a speed adjustment option. I don’t want to be all hardcore about it, but honestly once you get the hang of it after the first couple of levels, there’s literally no challenge until the last couple of levels. Still satisfying to play in a way, but would be even better if it could be made more difficult to win.

I downloaded this off of Steam very cheaply during the holiday sale. I’ve only played one other tower defense game (Pixeljunk Monsters), and I’m not much of a gamer in general. But I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one!

A year ago I got to 1000+ flags in endless survival and stopped. A speed option would definitely be good. I’m surprised they haven’t made a sequel yet, since it’d be like printing cash.

For those complaining about the easy difficulty (and it is pretty easy the first time through adventure) -

  1. Play through adventure again. This time the game forces some of your plant selections, and I believe there are more zombies.

  2. Play survival mode. Once you unlock survival endless see how far you can get.

I agree with this. I think you could try the challenge I invented. Only 1 sunflower in the level 1 battles, maximum 2 sunflowers in the level 2 battles, etc.

I completed with this. Then I tried 0 sunflowers in level 1:1-5, and 1 sunflower level 1:6-10. 1 sunflowers level 2:1-5, and 2 sunflowers 2:6-10, etc. :slight_smile: Great game.
